JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the entire ROOMS DIVISION included HK dept. Responsibilities include the financial results, adherence to standards of product and service, management of human resources under the guidance of the General Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Reports directly to the General Manager.

·         Assist the General Manager in supervising the second-in-command directly and controlling the 2 department heads of the ROOMS DIVISION..

 

·         Interacts with guests.  Not only limited to current potential clients,  suppliers, competitors and other members of local community.

 

·         Coordinates as appropriate, function and activities with Divisional and Corporate operational staff.

 

·         Assist General Manager to develop and implement the operational strategic plan, marketing plan and, budget in due course and goals programme to ensure on ongoing basis optimum guest satisfaction, sales potential and profitability.

 

·         Ensure highest level of guest satisfaction on operational standpoint.

 

·         Maximise the operation profit and develop up selling process. Be accurate of Smile system in FO and Resa dept to optimise business.

 

·         Establish the operating budget for both dept and assist for controlling stock on hand  and recommendation to improve  profit to  General Manager.

 

·         Propose each year a Capex list with details ,quote and justification .

 

·         Responsible for staff welfare and protection of customers in line with operational recommendations and policies given out by Ocean Hospitality guidelines

 

·         Responsible for the proper operational maintenance of both dept.

 

·         Responsible to secure all SOP for both dept. As per OCH..

 

·         Prepare weekly and monthly report for both dept to monitor the situation and adjust the improvement

 

·         Monitor the appraisal and assessment system and the evolution of the careers of his subordinates and employees on line with HR.

 

·         Monitors the operational implementation of external and internal operational training plan. On line with HR dept. This is a real issue to improve with more physical appearance on job training

 

·         Supervise personnel should study and strictly observe all the safety regulations and safe working practices at respective departments and sections and liaise with Chief security

 

·         To communicate and reinforce safety requirements and procedures are followed on specific job instructions. Be aware of emergency procedures at FO.

 

·         To ensure proper use of safe tools and equipment at all times.

 

·         To take immediate remedial action to initiate corrective measures on any unsafe conditional or environmental when deemed necessary around the hotel premises.

 

·         Responsible for the general housekeeping for cleanliness and at the relevant respective departments/section safety operational process of which the supervisors are in-charge of the department/section.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·       Manages both dept operations section.

·       Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the hotel’s policies and applicable laws.

·       Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work, addressing complaints and grievances and resolving problems to work closing with  both dept head in fairly approach and open issue to find the best solution.                     

·      Develop Yield Management system to maximise revenue and profit

              Room forecast and budgeting, accurately and liaise closely with the G.M

·      Communication and interpersonal skills

              Superior hotelier skills and training skills

·      Ability to solve practical problems and propose suggestions.

 

MEASURES OF GOOD PERFORMANCE

·    Associates are trained and competent.

·    Appearance and grooming standards maintained.

·    Associates able to answer questions on special programmes and promotions (product knowledge).

·    Accurate room rates and minimum guests misunderstanding.

·    Yield maintained according to budget.

·    Yield programme maintained and practised daily.

·    Hotel profitability maintained as per budget.
