GENERAL MISSION: Under the general guidance of the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Sales Manager will be responsible for effectively soliciting local and oversea business partners in order to promote the resort in the best way possible, to answer enquiries and close deals for FIT, GIT and Small/Medium Groups coming via offline distribution channels such as Leisure & Corporate accounts as well as Direct bookers, with the clear objective to reach budget’s monthly and annual targets. DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES: • Understand and follow the resort’s general staff policies as well as sales department specific tasks and duties. • Meet or exceed sales budget’s targets. • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly number of sales calls targets. • Contact on regular and planned basis new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone/direct sales calls and follow up. • Answer/negotiate enquiries and quotation requests for all types of offline bookings (TA/Corporate/Direct Bookings) when necessary (special requirements, group bookings etc…) • Assign work tasks and supervise the sales office Sales Coordinator(s). • Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within the local/national market. • Maintain an updated, accurate and relevant knowledge of the local competition and leisure industry (rate, offer, general trends). • Propose and implement special promotion’s distribution & follow up • Monitor group/bookings payment between the resort accounting team and the clients/bookers.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: • Two years university in Hotel Management, Business Administration, Sales or related fields. • At least two years’ experience in a similar position for an international four or five star hotel/resort is required. • Pro-active personality required (the Sales Manager must be a self-starter capable of thinking and planning forward when the workflow/time allows it) • Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail. • Ability to work efficiently under constant work pressure. • Good verbal and written communication skills in English. • Existing relationship with local travel agents is a must. • Experience with banqueting/MICE segment is a plus. • Understanding of TA/TO contracting seasons and general practice. • Capacity to negotiate rates based on a valuation of the resort’s hardware and software.
