Crown Retreat Quy Nhon is currently under construction, and will initially operate 50 resort style hotel rooms with a soft opening planned early 2017. Our vision is a contemporary 4+ star resort just outside Quy Nhon, offering an upscale product combined with outstanding and individual services to our guests. An opportunity came up to join our small but outgoing pre-opening team as Sous Chef. We need your expertise, motivation and willingness to learn and grow to shape this important part of our company’s future. You will: • You are responsible for the development and smooth operation of the kitchen and stewarding operations with emphasis on quality, presentation within the guidelines of the standardized menus, and staff training. • Ensure HACCP guidelines are achieved and maintained. • Participate in the drafting of concept ideas and menus for all special events and functions while encouraging all staff to put forward their ideas and utilizing them wherever practical • Under the direction of the Executive chef and with the stores department assist and maintain with the continuous monitoring of all aspects pertaining to the control of the hotel’s food cost • To organize and supervise the training of kitchen staff, motivating all staff to increase skills in food preparation and kitchen management. Ensure all training given is accurately recorded and that all staffs are reviewed and appraised within the necessary time frames as required by the Human Resources Department

You are: • Vietnamese, fluent in English, holding a Degree/ Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent • Currently working as Sous Chef for 2 years+, international experience preferred • Savvy in contemporary kitchen operations and computing • Positive, forward thinking, creative, motivated, eager to learn, welcoming, professional, a fast learner and thinker with a sense of responsibility and humour • A people person, a great communicator and trainer, able to build an attractive work environment and memorable staff and guest experiences • Passionate about high quality food with an eye on the budget, good knowledge of food products in general, trends, costing and kitchen equipment
