• Apply Trade Expertise: o Painting; Electrician; Mechanical Engineer; Carpentry; Upholstery, Building; Horticultural; or other • Maintain the hotel in your qualified trade to the desired standard • Daily inspection and rectification of all public areas in relation to your trade • Complete work orders as requested by the Shift Engineer or Chief Engineer in relation to your trade and other directives to meet customer requirements • Initiate/identify project work required in light of your trade throughout the hotel • Assist the Shift Engineer with the design of a preventative maintenance program • Use initiative and foresight to undertake tasks outlined within the preventative maintenance program without the direction of the Shift Engineer/Chief Engineer. • Be able to show flexibility to change the schedule in light of guest priorities • General building minor maintenance repairs • Ensure pool chemical level is in accordance with legislative requirements, is vacuumed and surrounding area maintained to standards established • Carry out minor tiling or plumbing as directed • Ensure plant rooms are checked and cleaned and are in operating order • Carry pager and respond to requests from departments regarding minor maintenance issues throughout the day • Do a lighting check to ensure all globes are in working order • Investigate reported faults for laundry and kitchen equipment • Carry out any minor repairs to guest rooms or public areas • Liase directly with departments regarding the completion of work orders and prioritise in order of guest satisfaction • Be responsible in keeping our property safe and secure, to participate in any hotel activity related to Fire Life safety. • Perform any other duties which may be assigned by the management from time to time.
