Assistant Bar Manager

Overview of duties
• Behaves and acts in an exemplary fashion, embodying the brand mindset
• To ensure the smooth running of the bar service, setting proper performance standards for guest services and maximizing departmental profit.
• Optimises the Meeting offer by making proposals
• Applies the brand's quality standards (SOP)

Main responsibilities
Customer relations
• To handle complaints and guests suggestions and record in the log book accordingly.
Professional techniques / Production
• To ensure that special set up (promotions etc.) be installed in the various point of sales in due time and according to pre-established specifications.
• Cash Register & Cashiering.
• Stock Control.
• Strong Beverage & Cocktail Knowledge.
• Professional & Complete F&B Service Skills.
• POS Systems
• To assist the FBM in monitoring service and F&B standard.
• To work closely with the FBM and to take corrective action when necessary.
• To carry on special projects assigned by the FBM.
• To keep an updated monthly roster of all staff
• To check each F&B departmental employees schedule and make necessary changes according to the volume of business.
Team management and cross-departmental responsibilities
• Boost cross-departmental working methods thanks to his/her relational skills, adaptability and professionalism.
• Form a duo with the Sales Manager, Kitchen, Housekeeping….
Commercial / Sales
• To assist identify the market needs of both hotel and local guests.
• To assist in monitoring and analyzing the activities and trends of the competition restaurants & bars
• To assist the FBSM in the preparation of the F&B marketing plan.
Management and administration
• To monitor all costs and recommend measures to control them.
• To assist the FBSM in ensuring that the outlets are individually profitable.
• To monitor and maintain all beverages par stock at adequate level
• Respects the budget.
• Increases margins.
• Supervises billing
Hygiene / Personal safety / Environment
• Ensures all outlets accessible to customers are clean and tidy.
• Applies the hotel safety regulations (fire hazards etc).
• Ensures respect of the hotel's commitments to the "Environment Charter" (energy saving, recycling and sorting waste etc).
