Job Objectives: Evaluate, educate and motivate guests/member in fitness programs. Responsible for fitness activities and profitability for Fitness. Provide uncompromised attention to guest/member service. Primary Responsibilities: · Effective create and scheduling of all fitness activities. · To assist in the maintenance of inventory of supplies for the operations of the Fitness Centre. · To maintain accurate records as required by provincial regulations. · Complete all administrative forms necessary for efficient functioning. · To keep and analyze member information and data. Guest Service Responsibilities · To ensure the facility is in peak condition at all times (operations and cleanliness). · To ensure guest/member satisfaction at all times by ensuring that safety and service is always the first’s priority. Technical Responsibilities · Direct safe exercise programmes involving all aspects in the fitness. · Lead aerobics/fitness programmes as applicable. · Recognize contraindications to exercise. · Assist with promotional activities. · Attend departmental staff meetings. · Assist in setting goals for department: membership, equipment, staffing, and programmes. · Work with the Fitness Centre Co‑coordinator in the formulation of plans for projects and other areas. · Responsible for member fitness assessments, to include, but not limited to: · Guest interviews Strength and flexibility assessments Body composition analysis Sub max. exercise tests Personalized exercise programme development and implementation · Nutritional assessment · Exercise leadership to include: Aerobic Classes where applicable Cardiovascular conditioning Stretching Strength training Martial Arts where applicable · Keep all equipment clean and sanitized. · Assist members in setting realistic, obtainable fitness goals and objectives. · Develop and coordinate all special events at the facility as required. · Participate actively in all scheduled meetings, emergency drills, training sessions and community events promoting the facility. · Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies which will enhance the quality of services at the Fitness. · Supervise and evaluate all employee fitness and/or public relation training events as required. · Maintain a professional image at all times while dressing properly and speaking positively on behalf of the facility. · Present an appropriate fitness model to members by staying in shape. · Develop new routines on a continuous basis to ensure member compliance.
