The director of rooms is in charge of managing and preparing rooms, and they also oversee guest services. They may be responsible for maintaining the outward appearance of the hotel, inspecting the building(s)' visual appearance, and overseeing room service, housekeeping, and/or other departments within the hotel. The room director manages a group of employees, which includes the front desk employees and housekeeping staff, amongst others.

The room director seeks to improve guest experiences by maintaining and improving rooms, managing large events, and making financial decisions such as adjustments to room rates. The room director is also expected to produce a financial report, manage the budget of the hotel, and present material about the hotel's finances, forecasts, and plans for the future.

- The successful candidate has been Director of Rooms of a large international 5 star hotel or resort for at least three years.

- Pre-opening and Vietnam experience are preferred, as is the rooms division experience in a large villa resort.

- The candidate has a good track record of employment stability.

- The candidate has an excellent organisational talent

- The candidate has successfully managed the front office and housekeeping operations, as well as supervised hi-end spa operations and multiple leisure facilities.

- The candidate is well acquainted with IT applications in modern rooms division management. Comprehensive knowledge of Opera is key.

- The candidate is a team player and leads a fully motivated and successful team

- The candidate has an excellent command of spoken and written English
