Mô tả công việc

Overview of Duties / Main Responsibilities

▪ Implement necessary control system related to Revenue and Expenses and assist in all accounting and system related matters under the direction of Financial Controller

▪ Assist the Financial Controller in managing and organizing the day to day operations in the Finance Department.

Customer relations

▪ Cooperate, coordinate and communicate with other departments in matters concerning accounting, and internal controls.

▪ Must possess ability to deal effectively with all levels of management within the hotel and to accomplish objectives through personal relationships in areas where little formal authority exists.

Professional techniques / Production

▪ Audit Revenues and Expenses to ensure Internal Control System is implemented.

▪ Check all Fidelio reports, TMS reports, rebates and report discrepancies to the Financial Controller.

▪ Suggest and recommend improvements to Internal Control System.

▪ Conduct regular Payroll Audit.

▪ Investigate / audit on regular basis various forms in use in revenue control for number sequence and correctness.

▪ Make spot checks on Bar Inventories together with Cost Controller.

▪ Make spot checks on General Cashier Cash Float.

▪ Audit Accounts Payable Ledger.

▪ Audit Accounts Receivable ledger.

▪ Assist Financial Controller in preparation of journal vouchers and all other work during month-end closing.

Commercial / Sales

▪ Should not disclose any financial information or any other information of Ibis Hotels Kuwait to a competitor.

Management and administration

▪ Ensure all accounts staff are proficient in hotel accounting policies and procedures and are diligently implemented.

▪ Should acquire a sound knowledge in System Administrators functions to replace him in an emergency / his vacation.

▪ Supervise Finance Department in the absence of Chief Account.

▪ Assist Financial Controller in budget and forecast preparations.

▪ Should be able to work any position (Accounts Payable, Internal Auditor, Paymaster, General Cashier, Cost Controller and Receivable Accountant) during vacation of those permanent staff members.

▪ Be punctual at work and behaviour be geared in a way as to represent the hotel in the best possible way at all times.

▪ Ensure that confidential records and other information is properly safeguarded and not removed from office.

▪ Perform related duties and special projects as assigned by the Chief Account.

Hygiene / Personal safety / Environment

▪ Look after the welfare of the employees reporting directly or indirectly.

▪ Ensure proper care of all equipment and furniture such as computer, calculators, general office equipment assigned to you and to associates reporting to you.

▪ Be well familiar with hotel’s policies and procedures; well acquainted with the physical layout of the Hotel and should acquire a sound knowledge in hotel’s emergency procedures in regard to fire, medical, bomb threats, blackout and evacuation.

▪ Wear appropriate business attire (as per Hotel policy) and ensure a proper appearance so as to represent the hotel in the best way.

Profile

Education / Professional experience

• University graduate or equivalent diploma in Finance / Accounting

▪ At least 5 years experience in the same capacity preferrably in 4* or 5* Hotels

▪ Conversational English

Skills / Qualities

▪ Special skills in Sun System and Opera know-how

▪ Excellent leadership skills; Proactive

▪ Presentable

▪ Pleasant / warm personality

▪ Health in good condition
