Mô tả công việc

Monitors and controls the purchases of goods and services at the correct prices in economical quantities and with acceptable quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Control custody, usage, routing, and authorization of purchase orders, including numerical control.

• Prepares price comparison and select purveyors, including on-going programs of comparative shopping in terms of location, price, quality, consistency of supplies, and delivery time.

• Searches for alternative suppliers and performs market surveys in order to be aware of market conditions.

• Delegates assignments to and supervises subordinates, e.g. Purchasing Supervisor/Purchasing Clerk.

• Follow up with suppliers on delivery time and complaints/comments from the departments as users.

• Periodically check Receiver and resort storerooms.

• Handles correspondences, reports, forms, etc. and ensures their filing in safe storage.

Yêu cầu công việc

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position in a 4* or 5* hotel

• Knowledge of hotel operation as well as sources of hotel supplies.

• An understanding of purchasing function and minimal accounting skills. Working knowledge of Excel is a must.

• Must possess good communications skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to work in a demanding, multi-task environment.

• Must have the ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and purveyors.
