Mô tả công việc

1. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.

2. Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.

3. Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.

4. Maintain positive guest relations at all times.

5. Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.

6. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.

7. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.

8. Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet.

9. Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.

10. Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink.

11. Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving.

12. Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, menus, price range and dress code of assigned outlet.

13. Complete opening side duties:

a) Fold/stack cocktail napkins.

b) Stock swizzle sticks, straws, matches

c) Line cocktail trays.

d) Stock glassware.

e) Place ashtrays with matches on tables.

f) Restock supply cabinet.

g) Change date on credit card imprinter at opening shift.

h) Prepare bowls of bar snacks; place on tables at 6 p.m.

i) Set up candles/centerpieces; place on tables at 6 p.m.

14. Inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.

15. Greet guests and take their orders (food and beverage), utilizing suggestive/upselling techniques.

16. Input orders into system and ensure transmission is verified by Bartender/Kitchen.

17. Legibly document orders when system is down and distribute orders to respective personnel for preparation of order; follow call procedures at the bar.

18. Retrieve orders from designated areas and serve to guests.

19. Provide club service for designated beverages.

20. Open and serve wine/champagne bottles.

21. Prepare and serve cappuccino and espresso.

22. Answer outlet telephone within three (3) rings, using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.

23. Replace ashtrays with 3 butts with clean ashtray by using capping method.

24. Remove soiled wares from tables to dishwashing area.

25. Present guest checks and process payments through the Bartender/Cashier.

26. Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies/procedures.

27. Extend courteous salutations when guests leave outlet and invite them to return.

28. Clean and reset tables immediately after guests depart.

29. Clearly communicate last call at designated closing time to guests.

30. Collect and report tips at the end of assigned shift.

31. Use all chemicals in accordance with Hotel requirements.

32. Complete closing side duties:

a) Properly store all reusable goods.

b) Remove snack bowls from tables at 9:30 p.m.

c) Remove all items from tables; place clean items in designated areas; wipe clean all surfaces of tables.

d) Restock supply cabinet.

e) Secure all storage areas.

33. Complete all closing reports in the P.O.S. system.

Yêu cầu công việc

Essential:

1. Two (2) years of experience in a supervisory position.

2. Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.

3. Provide legible communication and directions.

4. Compute basic arithmetic.

5. Food handling certification.

6. Ability to:

• perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

• prioritize, organize and follow up.

• be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgement.

• follow directions thoroughly.

• understand guest’s service needs.

• work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.

• work with minimal supervision.

• maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

• ascertain departmental training needs and provide such training

• direct performance of staff and follow up with corrections when needed.

8. Knowledge of various drink recipes and beverage service standards.

Desirable:

1. High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate, some college.

2. Previous experience as a bartender.

3. Experience with computers, calculators or word processors.

4. Ability to suggestively sell.

5. Ability to input and access information in the property management system/point of sale system/computers.

6. Previous guest relations training.

7. Certification of previous training in an alcohol awareness program.

8. Certification of previous training in liquor, wine, and food service.

9. Certification in CPR.

10. Fluency in a second language, preferably Korean.
