Floor Supervisor

A.M. Floor Supervisor

• Attends to requests and or complaints concerning guestrooms and services.

• Takes necessary corrective action & makes out written report to Floor Manager on the cases.

• Inspects all VIP rooms prior to arrival.

• Inspects room daily, including check-out vacant and make-up rooms for cleanliness and that rooms are defect free.

• To write maintenance order for any repair needed on floor. In the case if serious damaged i.e., a burnt table, a leakage, report to office clerk right away and follow up that the job done.

• To control all staff behavior on floors, ensuring a quiet comfortable and clean area is maintained at all time.

• Ensures proper care and use of equipment carts, baskets, Cleaning and guest room supplies.

• Ensures that all Lost and Found ítems are forwarded to the Lost and Found Department according to established procedures.

• Reports to the Floor manager- any loss or damage of furniture, fixture or equipment.

• Ensure all safely precautions are carried out and observed that pertain to safety of guests, and hotel property.

• To report for duty Housekeeping Office and collect keys for room attendants and obtain room status report for them.

• To control guest supplies and cleaning material store and make weekly requisition.

• Ensure that soiled linen is removed daily and par linen is kept in line closet.

• Performs duties common to all supervisors and as may be assigned by department head.

• Sign in room attendants on floor and mark the punctuality report accordingly.

• Ensure that all vacant/clean rooms and stayover rooms status have been updated.

P.M. Floor Supervisor

• To check all p.m. Room Attendants’ attendance.

• To follow up with Housekeeping Office, to see if any rooms left for p.m. Room Attendants to finish. If not, assign special duties for the p.m. room attendants.

• To take over a.m. Floor Supervisor’s duties for the p.m. Room Attendants.

• To assign late check-out rooms for room attendants.

• To make random check for night service.

• To patrol on assigned floors and note for specials.

• To report to Duty Manager for all the happenings on the floor.

• To check all closet areas and storerooms make sure everything is looked up: lights are turned off before off duty.

• To make down on duty supervisor’s log book for any special instruction by guest.

• To perform other duties same as the A.M. Floor Supervisors.

• To be on duty in the case of emergency and be aware of all emergency procedures.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING: College degree or above LANGUAGES: Vietnamese 

- Excellent level, written & spoken English - Good level, written & spoken 

WORK EXPERIENCE IN OTHER COMPANIES (IN CASE OF EXTERNAL SELECTION): At least 2-year experience in international hotel at the same position 

WORK EXPERIENCE IN MELIA HOTELS INTERNATIONAL (IN CASE OF INTERNAL PROMOTION): 2 year in the same position in hotels of similar category and services.
