Recreation Manager

• Work with slide manufacturers in developing the SOPs, checklists and other guidelines according to Sunworld Holding standards and industry best practice.

• Always ensure the Water Park meets the highest international standards of safety, cleanliness and presentation, and all local laws, rules and regulations.

• Supervise and evaluate the performance of aquatic attractions and water-based beach activities during operations.

• Administers and enforces Water Park and Beach rules and regulations.

• Provide leadership and direction to the Operations Team.

• Develop and track annual operating budget and business plans for each department of responsibility.

• Recruitment of Operations Department personnel.

• Oversee the training, assessment and development of all Team Members within areas of responsibility.

• Review Guest and Team Member comments and issues and communicate trends and recommendations.

• Work closely with Maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize safety and throughput of all attractions.

• Monitor and ensure compliance with all aspects of the Sunworld lifeguard certification and in-service training.

• Coordinate with Maintenance on activities including training, park cleanup and pool cleaning functions.

• Oversee all operational functions related to the safe and effective operation of the Park and maintain an international standard safety culture for both Guests and Team Members.

• Ability to act as a lifeguard, slide attendant, or any other frontline position when required.

• Minimum 3 years experience in a managerial role in an international standard water park facility.

• Experience working in a pre-opening Team for a Water Park or Theme Park attraction

• Experience writing SOPs, guides and checklists.

• Current international Lifeguard Trainer Certification.

• Must be capable of working independently.

• Ability to speak and write in English.

• Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, computer proficiency, and creative thinker.

• Must be professional, energetic, self-motivated, have the ability to motivate others, and a positive attitude.

• Ability to handle multiple situations simultaneously and meet deadlines in an efficient manner.

• Bachelor's degree and/or comparable life experience.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and Holidays.
