General Cashier

As a General Cashier you will be responsible for the timely preparation of the daily banking of cash, the preparation of the General Cashiers Summary and the processing of petty cash. This role reports to the Chief Accountant.

Among other tasks you will ensure that the House Bank, Remittance and Foreign Exchange Policies and Procedures are enforced and that General Cashier Fund and floats are counted regularly. You will be witnessing all drop safe(s), opening of safes and counting of floats. Further to this you will be collecting banking envelopes from safe, open, count and balances to prepare for banking and process petty cash. You will be working with Department Heads about cashiering problems and liaising with the income auditor.

- Good Communication skills.

- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

- Good writing skills

- Vocational Certificate in Accounting or Business Administration or related field.

- 1 year experience as cashier, teller, or similar; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

- Professional accounting certifications as requested by local laws and regulations.
