Mô tả công việc

Job Description/Summary:

The job holder plans, coordinates, supervises and controls all technical areas and facilities in the hotel, taking into account the TUI BLUE standards, safety, economy and maintaining the overall appearance of the hotel and is fully in charge of all property, maintenance and utilities related matters, including but not limited preventive fire safety and preventive maintenance of all plant rooms and heavy equipment.

MAIN AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Repairs and Maintenance:

• Ensures daily implementation of all product and service standards set by TUI BLUE head office and the Hotel

• Performs regular inspection of area of responsibility and participate in overall inspection of the hotel complex

• Develops and implement a preventive maintenance program for all hotel areas and plant rooms

• Assures that all infrastructures, technical installations, equipment, outdoor facilities and vehicles owned by the hotel are maintained in the interests of optimum conservation of value and meet all safety-relevant conditions

• Ensures the preparation of the technical maintenance plan for all machines and technical installations, ensure compliance, monitor the quality of work and ensure it is carried out efficiently and on schedule

• Checks all work carried out, regardless of whether it is carried out by the company's own personnel or by external companies.

• Advises the hotel management on the necessity and expediency of awarding repair and maintenance contracts, review offers and contracts and submit proposals for final approval

• Ensures that, in particular, defects directly affecting the guest area or guests are given the highest priority and rectified accordingly; all departments, in particular housekeeping, reception and technical services, work with a standardized system of defect reporting and rectification

Occupational Safety and Fire Protection:

• The job holder advises the management on compliance with statutory occupational safety and fire protection regulations

• The job holder is the responsible contact person on the part of the hotel for firefighting operations, organizes regular training courses for hotel employees on fire protection, firefighting and evacuation

• Monitors compliance with occupational safety and fire protection regulations by means of regular tours through the entire hotel complex

Environmental & Energy Management:

• As a rule, in disciplinary matters the Environmental Officer of the hotel is subordinate to the Technical Manager

• Develops and implement measures to promote sustainability

• Develops programs and plans to save energy and increase efficiency, and prepare monthly energy reports on the consumption of oil, gas, electricity, water, etc.

• Assumes responsibility for the hotel´s existing waste concept and develop measures together with the other department heads to reduce waste

• Supports the hotel management in communicating sustainability issues, organise and participate in activities for guests on sustainability (e.g. environmental tour)

• Actively contributes to the design of the environmental email campaigns and environmental corners

Leadership:

• Deploys and assigns tasks to employees on the basis of their abilities, identify and promote potential.

• Identifies weaknesses and develop measures together with the employee concerned to remedy or reduce them.

• Conducts regular performance reviews and department meetings, document these and ensure follow-up of the discussed measures which serve the further development of the employee or the team.

• Participates actively in the recruitment and selection process for the department, assure optimal induction of new employees.

• Leads and ensure effective communication within the department and with other departments, giving clear instructions and objectives to the staff.

• Promotes teamwork within the department and with other departments in the hotel.

• Embodies the TUI BLUE philosophy and fully exemplify the role model as a leader.

Administration and other tasks:

• Together with the hotel manager and department heads, prepare the FF & E investment budget and the cost budget, including energy costs, for the department.

• Ensures the availability at all times of complete documentation such as manuals for machinery and equipment, construction plans for the entire building including ancillary buildings, etc.

• Checks and sign all purchasing and goods requisitions for the department in line with economic efficiency (business volume, par levels, etc.) criteria.

• Manages the storage, handling, delivery notes and invoices for materials in the department.

• Prepares monthly evaluation and commenting of department reports on costs, submit proposals to the hotel manager and controller to further reduce cost in the department.

• Prepares forecasts, budgets and statistics for the department.

Personal Development:

• Stays updated and keep tabs on the latest gastronomic trends.

• Takes the initiative for advancing own personal development through participation in training programmes (internal & external), visits to trade fairs and study of relevant specialist literature.

• Participates in specialist conferences organized throughout the Group, such as management meetings, technical manager meetings and environmental meetings.

• All trainings and development activities are consulted with the Quality & Training Manager.

Yêu cầu công việc

• Vocational school/ College graduated in Freezer Electrical/ Electrical/ Mechanic

• 03-05 year experience in Maintenance operation in hotels/ resorts

• English skills: fluent both writing and speaking

• IT skill: Word, Excel, Outlook

• Clear & effective communication

• Effective time management

• Social, pleasant personality, well organized

• Customer oriented and result oriented

• Can do attitude
