E-commerce Manager

1. Achieving the monthly targets set by the Revenue Manager in the Yearly Business Plan.

2. Yield management on Best Daily Rates in the melia.com website plus other third party web portals.

3. Increase sales/revenue in the E-Commerce area when opportunity arises.

SALES AND MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Control and manage our room inventory/ rates to maximize/generate revenue.

2. Monitor competitor’s rates/packages on a daily basis and propose ideas/offers/packages to be implemented to maintain market share.

3. Monitor hotel positioning and maintain best positions in OTA.

4. Monitor hotel positioning in Google Search

5. Monitor hotel online reputation (TripAdvisor), and support the Guest Experience Manager.

6. Benchmarking the positioning of the CompSet and other hotels reference online.

7. Initiate and implement new concepts to optimize revenues from OTA.

8. Manage the on-going relationship with assigned OTA partners including daily communication, periodic formal account wellness checks, and on-going revenue tracking.

9. Work with Spain HQ to develop and implement technology initiatives for assigned accounts.

10. Stay abreast of industry trends by attending industry conferences and seeking out advanced distribution knowledge.

11. Submits weekly plans, monthly reports and Plan Director according to deadlines.

12. Maintain and update E-commerce database on a monthly basis and send a copy to the Revenue Manager.

13. Input correct rate, close-out periods and special offers in the IDISO/SIRIUS system and other relevant GDS’s, B2B, B2C on a daily basis.

14. Ensures accurate information of Melia Yangon is correct in all websites, third party websites on a weekly basis.

15. Research the World Wide Web on the possibility of Melia Yangon being featured and well represented.

16. Keep track and updates the Revenue Manager on latest trends and happenings in the E-Commerce world daily.

17. Trains, when necessary, on usage of PMS, IDEAS and assist in keying in bookings as and when the need arises.

18. Attends the Business Review meeting as and when required.

19. Attend trainings conducted by other Departments when necessary.

20. Loading of rates electronically for local & overseas Travel Agents.

21. Oversee the Reservation Section during the absence of Revenue Manager.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Performs other related reasonable duties as requested by the Hotel management, Melia Hotels International (MHI) and/or his/her immediate Superior.

2. Adapts to industry changes as may be from time to time necessary.

3. Liaise with Headquarters Spain and Regional Sales Office weekly on updates

4. Performs all duties in a timely and efficient manner to achieve Department Objectives.

5. Have a good working relationship with other Departments.

- English - Good level, written & spoken
