• Ensure garments are properly sorted for washing, dry-cleaning, and packing.
• Count and verify all garments prior to processing to ensure if there is any discrepancy, damage, or stain, and take follow-up actions as per established standards and procedures.
• Report immediately to the Assistant Guest Laundry Manager in case of any valuable items such as cash, jewellery, credit cards are found in guest garments.
• Ensure that the correct cleaning materials and methods are used according to types of fabric material and per established standards and procedures.
• Handle guest garments with utmost care, to avoid damage, shrinkage, lost buttons, discoloration.
• Check for foreign objects in washing machine drum.
• Ensure that the main laundry and equipment is cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis and to schedule wash downs during regular intervals.
• Ensure all dryers are cleared of dry lint every 2 hours.
• Ensure lint collectors in all dryers are cleared of wet lint at least twice a day.
• Ensure correct speed of ironer for different linens-check speed standards with the dial-meter.
• Check and ensure emergency stop button can be activated.
• Wax ironer every morning.
• Report any fault of equipment to the Assistant Guest Laundry Manager immediately.
• Keep the work station clean and tidy, especially by the end of the shift.
• Report accidents, injuries, or unsafe work condition to Assistant Guest Laundry Manager or Housekeeping Manager.
• Assist in controlling the requisitioning, storage and careful use of all operating equipment and supplies.
• Liaise with Housekeeping and other related department on daily operation.
• Maintain positive guest and colleague interactions.
• Comply with the resort’s health, safety and hygiene policies and adhere to conduct personnel grooming and hygiene standards.
• Perform any other duties which may be assigned by the management from time to time.

• Knowledge and correct handling of the different types of Fabric material.

• Ensure proper use of equipment and chemicals.

• Report any faults of equipment to the Laundry Shift leader or Laundry manager immediately.

• Handle guest items with utmost care, to avoid damages, shrinkage, lost buttons

• Answer guest calls and handle guest requests in a friendly, efficient manner.

• Collect guest laundry when requested, ensuring correct room-number is noted. Inspect all items and note any damages, discolor etc. before and after cleaning. Report to the Shift leader if you don’t know the material of the clothes.

• Understading all the symbols on the fabric.

• Prepare costing of guest Laundry, to ensure correct and prompt posting.

• Package and deliver guest laundry to correct guestrooms.

• Deliver high quality service to guests.

• Ensure guest needs and reasonable requests are met.

• Seek opportunities to continually improve guest service.

• Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints.

• Adhere to the hotel’s security and emergency policies and procedures.

• Adhere to hotel cleaning and maintenance programs.

• Ensure a high level of cleaning is maintained in your work area.

• Carry out other tasks as directed by your supervisors.
