1. Ensures that all of the duties and responsibilities, according to the standards and position descriptions of the accounting department, are fulfilled by the accounting employee.

2. Maintains and upgrades all computer systems within the property so they are running as efficiently as possible.

3. Prepares month-end financial statements through journal entries and merging reports in a computer. Distributes profit and loss statements to the appropriate personnel and answers questions pertaining to the P&L as requested.

4. Performs the bank reconciliation for all accounts monthly.

5. Prepares budgets, cash flows, financial statements, and any other form that helps determine the financial stability of the property both currently and for the future.

6. Assists other departments to make sure they are following the guidelines established by internal auditing and internal policies by visually observing work and work products daily.

7. Coordinates any efforts to interface computers or software on the existing computer systems.

8. Assists departments in their goal to meet budget by offering support and answering questions.

9. Implements procedures that will help lessen the liabilities of the property.

10. Changes and adapts policies to meet new economic conditions.

11. Answers any questions from department managers regarding the P&L.

12. Supervises the accounting office in the absence of the Controller.
