Wholesales Manager

To maximize outside golf revenue by selling through wholesales & transient segments. This position is also responsible to maximize the yield.

• Achieve annual golf revenue goals
• Adhere to all of the various written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job.
• Perform in a manner that demonstrates the philosophies of customer service.
• Target both transient & group golf package group accounts in the assigned geographic market and/or territory with an emphasis on closing business as well as proactive solicitation.
• Work collaboratively with group sales team to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complimentary and not duplicated.
• All leads must be acknowledged within two hours of receipt with a proposal or contract submitted within 24 hours.
• Attends RevMax Meetings when appropriate
• Prepares marketplace management plan once per year and follows through on plan throughout the year providing quarterly updates to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
• Proactively identifies, and qualifies new business to achieve personal and property revenue goals.
• Closes the best opportunities based upon the market conditions and property goals and needs.
• Understands the overall market in which they sell (i.e.: competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, etc.)
• Effectively manage and develop relationships with key internal and external customers, ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction
• Generates contracts and creative proposals to meet golf group customer needs.
• Can develop clear and effective market plans and action steps.
• Continues communications with booker before, during and after all event dates to encourage rebook of business or to solicit other business within account.
• Entertains booker while on property and in the marketplace. May be required to entertain outside of normal office hours
• Maintaining the database integrity
• Cataloguing all venue and event imagery for future use
• Filing all marketing materials, both digitally and printed

• Minimum 3 years related experience in hospitality/golf
  
• Bachelor’s degree
• Good English language skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to understand asses and persuade individuals.
• Some knowledge of working practices of a golf club.
• Ability to cope with pressure.
