REPORTING LINES

Direct report— General Director / Operations Manager / Dean

Direct subordinates – Food & Beverage Service Staff

RESPONSIBILITIES—GENERAL

Behaves and acts (as a manager) in an exemplary fashion, embodying the brand mindset.

Conveys the hotel's image and atmosphere by providing a warm and friendly welcome, being available and frequently visible in the hotel.

Helps team to improve their skills and provides support for career development.

Manages, motivates and organizes personnel in order to improve the quality and creativity of F&B services, in line with brand standards. Makes suggestions for improvement.

Takes part in the definition of hotel strategy and implements it in the F&B department.

Able to train on ‘Best Practices’ of a western, asian and fusion style restaurant (Greet/meet and Seat/ Service with a smile)

Participating in In-Service education and training courses as well as in continuing professional development opportunities.

Maintaining good order and discipline amongst team and students under one’s care and safeguarding their health and safety at all times;

Train on how to obtain revenues, issue receipts, accept payments.

Effectively train students & staff on how to communicate with the guest and how to provide assistance with their queries.

Able to impart observation tips on guest management and how to ensure their satisfaction with the food and service.

Must have good knowledge of wine and spirit and wine and spirit service. Understands and can teach how to properly open and pour wines at the table side.

Impart the importance on how to build strong relationships and liaise with all other departments.

Taking up operational duties when students or staff are not available

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

A positive attitude and excellent communication skills. Knowledge of common POS and PMS is required.

Able to teach skills and effectively manage apprentices.

3-5 years of experience in Food & Beverage department.or management position

Diploma or Degree in Restaurant or Hospitality Management or related major

Competent communication skills in written and spoken English
