• Understand how the FCS Engineering Software System and Preventive Maintenance System work.
• Assist the ACE to set up the Preventive Maintenance System and run same 
• Follow up all work orders in the FCS Engineering Software System and ensure that there is no backlog of work and to take any necessary follow up.
• Ensure that all Kitchen and laundry equipment are in good condition and are maintained regularly.
• Know and understand the operation and maintenance of all laundry & kitchen Equipment and maintain when required.
• Familiarize with the location and operation of all the resort, Laundry and kitchen equipment.
• Familiarize with the power distribution to the above equipment.
• Contribute in solving the day to day operating problem of the Engineering Department.
• Be able to work alone as assigned, some work does not require two staff to do the work.
• Ensure complaint and requests are handled with the aim of exceeding guests expectations.
• Notify managers or internal staff of any delays in performing works/task in accepted standard time frame.
• Prioritizes and takes appropriate remedial action in case of any urgent problems.
• Participate in the day to day operation of the Engineering Department included general repairs and maintenance in the resort.
• Monitor stock and order spare parts for equipment, general consumable parts and materials as needed to maintain minimum stock levels.
• Know and understand the duties, be prepared to take his place if needed.
• Be aware of the Green Engage.
• Participate actively as a member of the resort in the event of fire or other emergencies.
• Perform other tasks and duties as directed or assigned by your immediate supervisors.
• Notify your superior immediately when any equipment or lighting failure is noticed to expedite repair/replacement.
• Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation immediately if it occurs and notify your manager of potential danger.
• Utilize computer applications to perform the required checklists and reports.
• Demonstrate cooperation and trust with colleagues, supervisor and across departments.
• Open to new ideas and willing to make changes in improving guest satisfaction.
• Supervise work to be undertaken by outside contractors.
• Participate, support and attend training programs as scheduled.
• Understand requirements of each job and ensure the completion targets are met.
• To report for duty punctually, wearing the Resort uniform and follow the grooming standards.
• Ensure engineering equipment rooms are checked and cleaned are in operating order.
• Carry mobile and respond to requests from other departments regarding minor maintenance issues throughout the day.
• Liaise directly with the department (such as HouseKeeping, Food & Beverages, Front Office..) regarding the completion of work orders and prioritize in order of guest satisfaction. Human Resources Responsibilities 
• Become familiar with the Regent Phu Quoc Resort Collective Labor Agreement and follow the rules of the agreement.
• Schedule and control staff work assignment on a daily basis ensuring productivity targets are met.
• Follow up all issues and request from staff and communicate progress on these issues.
• Lead by example.
• Introduce new ideas, methods, procedures and initiatives to staff by actively persuading, encouraging and successfully overcoming any problem or obstacles in the way. 
• Monitor and observe staff performance and offer feedback giving clear directions and encouragement.
• Train staff supervised to carry out their duties effectively & efficient. Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities 
• Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures.
• Be familiar with property, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly. 
• Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers. 
• Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with resort requirements.
