General Cashier

Primary Responsibilities

Finance

• Prepares own daily statement of cash

• Prepares General Cashier's daily report.

• Responsible for general cashier's bank.

• Receives and records in the general cashier's daily report (and includes in the daily deposits) all cash and check received

• Assisting AP/AR supervisor to perform daily task given in a given period.

• Reimburses outlet cashiers for disbursement made by them.

• Controls and accounts for foreign currencies and update rate on working day from designated source.

• Collects and counts contents of all cashiers' envelopes daily.

• Able to multi task within the given time frame by the department head or management based on the priority of the task / cases.

• Responsible for the hotel’s daily bank deposits, control all house funds, and to issue, audit and maintain all hotel banks according to the Company’s policies and procedures.

• To balance petty cash Disbursements in the petty cash float and to ensure the timely

• Prepares Petty Cash Report

• Other special duties when assigned by the Financial Controller.

Department

• Provides all outlet cashiers daily change, including extra change for long weekends and special occasion.

• Prepares Part timer or casual worker wages on a periodical basis.

• To employees within hotel reimbursement policy

• Responsible for the accurate preparation and timely payment of staff payroll and ensure that all statutory deductions are fully accounted for and remitted to the relevant authorities in accordance with company standard

• To maintain all in-house floats at an appropriate level required by operations and to randomly check the float count done by outlet cashiers

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Finance

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the hotel industry

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office and MC system
