The position is responsible for reconcile with other financial staff to make sure every transaction is being posted correctly.
Primary Responsibilities
Make sure the balance sheet is inline and correct.
• Make sure that all balance sheet items are all accounted for and reconciled with their respective subsidiary ledgers and/or schedules and all contra or clearance accounts are cleared at the end of the month.
• Coordinate with other financial staff in the department to prepare monthly financial, tax, expense reports
• Regularly compare and check bank accounts with accounting books on the computer, balance accounts, proactively detect errors for timely handling.
• Checking revenue and expenditure before submitting to the chief accountant
• Synthesize and analyze the use of costs and hotel revenue to ensure that capital is used effectively.
• Carefully check the payments before transferring them to the Chief accountant /Financial Controller for approval
• Coordinate with the chief accountant to build, implement and check the operational processes of the hotel accounting department.
• Coordinate with the Chief accountant to plan periodic training for staff in the department on financial and accounting issues, internal control related to tax, payment system
• Provide professional guidance on data processing, accounting for arising economic operations for employees in the department.
• Other special duties when assigned by the Chief Accountant/Financial Controller
Department
• Assisting Chief Accountant in recruitment and training Staff.
• Monthly review the employee's payroll and employee's regimes approved by the salary accountant to ensure accurate data before making payment.
• Provide statistics and accounting data to superiors when required
• Proactively propose ideas to improve the efficiency of work related to financial accounting
Other Responsibilities
• Participate in the development, implementation and control of the accounting department's operating procedures

Knowledge and Experience
• Bachelor Degree in in Finance Orr Hospitality / Tourism Management
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the hotel industry
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, relevant accounting system ( Sun, MC, Opera, Symphony, Bee track..)
• Knowledge of labor laws
