As a Member of An Lam Retreats (The Retreat) Management Team, the Event Sales Executive will have daily interaction with the Cluster Events/MICE Sales Manager and various team members of the An Lam Retreats Saigon River, both senior and across all levels. In this role, the incumbent will always behave in a professional manner and set an example to all. The incumbent will abide by An Lam Retreats brand principles, core values, best practices, guidelines and objectives, while respecting other cultures and nationalities and projecting a positive and proactive position to help build and maintain a strong, loyal team.
The Event Sales Executive will need to have the following criteria:
- Honest, Reliable and Fair.

- Sound knowledge of luxury hotel/resort operation fundamentals and compliance oriented.
- Strong Work Ethic to direct, coach and manage the stars of Sales Department
- Be able to provide financial planning and analysis to the Management Team and Retreat Owner
The Event Sales Executive will have a primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, executing, managing all operational aspects including but not limited to operational reporting for both properties.
Ability to handle multi-tasks simultaneously with positive attitude, create plan and manage up effectively to keep order and meeting deadlines.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Vision and Values
As Event Sales Executive, the incumbent fully comprehends the vision of An Lam Retreats brand to focus on sustainable development, preserving the environment and respecting nature, honoring Vietnamese cultural identity, therapy for health and spirit, plus our values of nature at heart, well-being, local authentic, genuine hospitality, social responsibility. Embrace An Lam Retreats brand vision and values and its application in all tasks associated with the star’s duty.
Adhere to all An Lam Retreats brand standards ensuring successful communication across all levels of the operation.
By embracing the An Lam Retreats vision and values, the incumbent will deliver an exceptional experience for guests and develop stars to be the very best they can be.
2. Wellness
The incumbent will fully embrace, implement and safeguard the overall Wellness philosophy, concepts and programs of Full Potential, Sleep & Resilience, Cleanse & Detox and Trim & Fit. This encompasses treatments, use of facilities, personalized assessments, advice and coaching conducted within the Spa and Wellness operation, along with execution of the Sleep With An, Eat With An and Grow With An platforms. All aspects of these wellness and initiatives will be adopted and implemented throughout the training and its planning and development.
3. Sustainability
Sustainability is at the core of everything we do at An Lam Retreats. As Event Sales Executive, the incumbent will ensure all directives on environmental protection and preservation, regeneration and minimum wastage, purchasing and packaging such as the abolition of single-use plastic, social responsibility and all other practices documented in the Sustainability Guidelines are followed in the Sales Department to maintain a harmonious and sensitive approach to our environment and cultural surroundings.
4. Operational Ownership
• Maximize banquet revenue from non-corporate events (including birthday party, wedding anniversary, family’s dining…) and selected porfolios of corporate events.
• Ensure clients’ satisfaction and to capture businesses from competitor’s potential and loyal clients for An Lam Retreats Saigon’s F&B Department as per the set sales targets/KPO.
• Approach and Build relationship with clients which companies/offices located in industrial zones to maximize business lunch and dinner from companies in industrial zones with guidance from Cluster S&M office.
• Respond to received enquiries with personalized proposal within 24 hours and carefully follow up on client’s requirements as well as other standard elements of event organizing.
• Follow upon on business leads to close the deal and issue contracts within the Section’s set timeframe.
• Conduct site inspections and entertains individuals, relevant companies’ representatives, government officials, delegates as per personal work plan or whenever required.
• Spend time in each function/event in charge to ensure that the function/event are managed well.
• Handle all clients’ complaints and inquiries received in a courteous and efficient manner; followed by guide dance of department head; ensure they are reported, reviewed and investigated thoroughly, following through to ensure problems are solved satisfactorily.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as required by Cluster DOSM or An Lam Retreats Saigon River’s Retreat Manager.
5. Administrative
Prepare and submit all relevant reports required by the S&M Department and the Head office.
Constantly updates client profiles on system in terms of pattern of service redemption, business history, comp set intelligence, contract, contact list, anniversaries, related activities, etc.
Proactively organizes sales calls and entertainment activities, ensures all based on business priorities and client’s potentials with reasonable expenses.
6. Quality Assurance
An Lam S&M guidelines and standards of service and operation will be adopted and followed by all S&M stars so that our performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded. S&M product and service quality is continually reviewed through the incumbent physical presence on a regular basis and our rigorous adherence to LQA standards and/or similar quality standards platforms.
All activities in both properties will be carried out ethically, honestly and within the parameters.
Plan, develop and organize Quality Assurances training sessions and produce appropriate training materials for in-house courses.
7. Financial Performance
Work with the Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing to:
- Recommend pricing strategies for wedding and social event segments with Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing which reflects the greatest possible market share over the long run.
- Set budgets for the cluster for annual event sales activities.
Manage and facilitate the preparation of the annual event sales plan, Capex budget, FF&E and Sales & Marketing Plan.
8. People Management
Ensure that Sales stars always provide a courteous and professional service.
Ensure that Sales stars have a complete understanding of and adhere to the An Lam brand rules and regulations.
Ensure that Sales stars have a complete understanding of and adhere to the policies.
Devise effective solution to team issues.
Give frequent feedback and recognition when Sales stars do well.
Empower stars to perform their jobs.
Ensure that stars are selected, trained, evaluated and rewarded in compliance with existing star management system.
Encourage stars to suggest ways to improve their performance
Provide coaching and counseling sessions to stars when needed.
Work closely with the S&M trainer and with all HOD’s and identify training needs of stars
Assist and support the S&M trainer in preparing and conducting training
Facilitate trainings when required
Ensure self and team members attend mandatory and other training programs by allocating dedicated training time.
Ensure consistency of training across the Sales team
Build an environment that fosters career development for every stars.

- Diploma of college or university completion and achievements of sales, marketing or revenue management
- 3 years of experience or more in similar role.
- Cross-cultural work exposure in a team setting.
- Experience in affiliate marketing highly desired
- Hospitality meta search (TripAdvisor, Trivago, etc) a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams including technology, ecommerce and marketing to drive programs to successful execution.
- Convinces others, both within and outside the organization to accept new concepts and approaches.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors.
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills and can demonstrate ability
- Very good command over written and spoken English.
- Professional know-how to meet technical standards
