Chief Accountant

• Enforces documents and establishes effective controls for all revenues, expenses and protection of assets.

• Maintains accurate and timely financial and operating information and provides analysis, interpretation and projections to management.

• Co-ordinates and assists department heads in the preparation and implementation of the resort’s annual business plan.

• Controls capital and FF&E expenditure to ensure compliance with justifications and approvals.

• Implements and maintains effective accounting practices and procedures as required by corporate policy, generally accepted accounting principles and local legal requirements and regulations.

• Directs and manages the cost control, purchasing and storeroom functions ensuring effective systems are in place.

• Administers all resort insurance programs in conjunction with corporate office.

• Approves all contracts, leases and other legal documents and ensures their safekeeping.

• Acts as authorized signatory, ensuring that allowances, adjustments, purchase requests, cheques and other documents are approved accordingly.

• Ensures that staff are selected, trained, evaluated and rewarded in compliance with management system.

• Participate in all wages and salary administration functions.

• Coaches, counsels, disciplines and develop subordinate staff.

• Make all reports for the general manager as per his request:

DAILY: Report to GM, BOD

+ Sales report.

WEEKLY:

+ Monitor expenses the budget and report to GM

+ Daily revenue report GM, BOD.

MONTHLY: Report to GM and BOD

+ Financial report.

+ P&L report.

+ Statistic.

+ Cash flow.

+ Debtor/Credit forecast.

+ Detail training expenses.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 year experience in a similar position in a 4* or 5* resort

• Excellent communication skills in English and Vietnamese (oral and written). Fluency in a foreign language is an advantage

• Experienced in using SMILE Finance Management System.

• Proficient with computers

• Highly motivated and passionate about the job and his/her career in the resort
