This position is concerned with providing an overall supervision for the outlet and service as required for 1 Michelin Star restaurant and to the level of Forbes standard. This includes maximizing the outlet’s revenue by up selling, creating a truly warm and welcoming experience, arranging reservation, planning and executing special events with guest chefs, mixologists or entertainment. Also, manages the images and takes part in marketing campaign of the restaurant together with Marketing department.

Restaurant General Manager should maintain personalized storytelling service for the guests and also liaisons with the all other departments, while schedules staff duties according to forecasts, special requirements and arrange for continues training for the staffs.

- Effectively manage the restaurant by ensuring the following:

• Oversee and elevate all aspects of restaurant operations, refine the vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant including music, lighting, entertainment, temperature, set up, sequences of services …
• Lead by example with regard to service standards as required for 1 Michelin Star restaurant and to the level of Forbes standard, including maintain consistency in quality of food, beverage and service.
• Ensure a truly warm and welcoming experience for all guests and visitors dining in the restaurant
• Possess an outstanding knowledge of all food, wines, cooking techniques and allergy requirements to ensure guests can be advised appropriately at all times
• Promote sales and upselling to meet the budgeted revenue monthly within the collaboration with revenue, Sales, Butlers, Front Office and F&B
• Plan and execute monthly or quarterly special events with guest chefs, guest mixologist, entertainment, beverage suppliers …
• Create weekly activities inside the restaurants to enhance guest experience
• Ensure that good hygiene standards in the service areas are always maintain and that all furniture and equipment are always kept in clean and good condition with the focus on the heart of house
• Competently manage the ordering and control of stock items ensuring availability at all times
• Manage back of house service areas to include cleanliness, hygiene, stock control and wastage
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established resort policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position

- People: 

• Recruit candidates of attitude, and train the team to be capable of delivering exceptional service, storytelling with depth in knowledge
• Create training culture on service standards as required for 1 Michelin Star restaurant and to the level of Forbes standard
• Lead the team to meet and exceed guest’s expectations.
• Thorough knowledge of all menu items and all types of set-up, and be able to pass the knowledge to staff and colleagues should be an expert
• Perform/ behave as per IHG Winning Ways and IHG leadership competencies
• Become familiar with the InterContinental Danang Resort employee handbook and Collective Labor Agreement (KKB), follow the rules of the agreement.
• Manage day-to-day activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance, and recognize good performance.
• Responsible for the team members’ development plan

- Guest experience:

• Driver to deliver Luxury Experiences of a Michelin-star standard level to guests
• Develop and update the restaurant’s SOPs (standard Operation Procedure), JD (Job description) and implement it to enhance the guest experience
• Feasibility on the operation during the peak hours
• Promote a helpful and professional image to the client and give full co-operation to any prospective customer requiring assistance with a caring attitude.

- Required Skills:

• Fluent English skills and highly proficient in second language is an advantage

• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the resort, the brand and the Company.

- Qualifications:

•Professional trained in tourism/ hospitality or other related fields

- Experience:

• Minimum 03 year experience preferably as Restaurant General Manager or relevant position in hotel’s fine dining restaurant 

• A strong restaurant background from within hotel or restaurant sector at a 5* luxury standard
