I'm Tran Thi Mong Tuyen, 22 years old. A recent graduate with a major in Hospitality Management at FPT Can Tho University. My academic performance was very good, with a GPA of 3.5/4. I have a dynamic, meticulous, and thoughtful personality, as well as the capacity to work under pressure, which is very important in the service industry. At the same time, my appearance standards (1m67 height and 52kg weight) as well as my skills and knowledge in theory and practice related to the major of hotel management have been gathered throughout four years of university education. During my time at FPT University in Can Tho, studying hotel management, I was able to gain access to a wealth of essential knowledge and practical skills for the service sector, including: First, with the subject Front Office Operations and Management. I learnt how a receptionist completes the check-in or check-out process and the fundamental processes involved. In addition, I understand what information from customers should and should not be used during their stay at the hotel. Furthermore, what should the front desk employees do in unexpected situations as well as when a customer has a problem that has to be fixed in order to solve it effectively and make the customer satisfied. Second, there's Housekeeping Operations and Management, which is a specialized subject. When the university designed a 5-star standard room on campus for students studying hotel management, I was created by the school to gain practical experience. We received training in bedsheets, room making, and room make-up service. In addition, the characteristics to distinguish the types of beds as well as each type of room in the hotel, any equipment provided by the lecturer will be in a standard room. Next, we'll look at Wine, Beer, and Spirits as a tool to improve our understanding in the service sector. Not only do I understand the origins, manufacture, and preservation of wine and beer after taking this course, but I also know how to distinguish between specialty glasses and the necessary and basic equipment in a counter bar. and some basic mixing skills such as stirring, shaking, and the wine serving procedure, as well as some basic recipes such as cocktails, mocktails, and so on. Moreover, I have the opportunity to actively create a specific event such as arranging the time of each activity included in a certain event, dividing the responsibilities as well as unleashing the creativity of activities to make the event more interesting. To make it more interesting, allocate the number of employees required to organize an activity through Event Planning subject. In addition to hotel management courses, I studied about Hotel Revenue Management, Food and Beverage Cost Control, Business Ethics, Cross Cultural Management and Negotiation, Management Skills, and Managing the Guest Experience.

I wish I could apply for the position of receptionist because it is a position I have cherished since I was in university with a major in hotel management. I can learn about a receptionist's professionalism and integrity. Furthermore, I will improve my time management skills because the check-in and check-out procedures are all timed and should be completed as quickly as possible. Especially, this department's adaptability in issue solutions is particularly noteworthy. Therefore , now is the time for me to gain more practical experience in this position. Unlike the business or education industries, the service industry desperately needs employees who not only have specialized knowledge but also love what they do, so they can work at full capacity and provide the best service to their customers like “Biến đam mê thành dịch vụ hoàn hảo!” remarked Mr. Bui Xuan Phong, a University Lecturer and Hotel & Resorts Business Executive (author of a book on Quan Tri Khach San).
