Main Duties Location: working at new bar in District 1 Customer Service Ensures the delivery of brand promise and provides exceptional guest service at all times. Provides excellent service to customers as appropriate. Handles all guest complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily. Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships. Establishes a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationships. Operational Greet the guest promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, a smile and good posture. Set up host/hostess stand, review guest reservations book, and make recommendations as to the set up of the room, maintain a station chart and cover count for bar while recognizing the maximum workload capacity of each server in order to meet Restaurant service standards. Handling guests without reservations or those waiting for others to join them. Seat the guest promptly at a table pre-set for the number in the party and according to guest preference. Presenting menus and explanations for all menu items. Taking order from customer, serve in high standard. Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all Beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Beverage combinations and up sell alternatives. Ensures that minimum brand standards have been implemented. Works closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the company and the satisfaction of guests. Works in a supportive and flexible “We work through Teams”. Other Duties Understands and strictly adheres to Rules and Regulations established in the Employee Handbook and the company policies concerning fire, hygiene, health and safety. Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming. Exercises responsible behaviour at all times Responds to changes in the Food and Beverage function as dictated by the company. Attends training sessions and meetings as and when required. Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
