Mô tả công việc

Scope & General Purpose of Job:           

To assist the Bar Manager in managing and training all bar employees. To lead by example, assist Bar Manager in building an effective team and ensure appropriate professional standards of behaviour, work standards, productivity, work practices and customer care are enforced.

The Bar Captain is also responsible for drink orders like any other member of the Bar team and needs to organize his time effectively to serve guest promptly and professionally (Priorities orders: if two drink orders come at the same time from different tables, prepare the juices, mixer first, rather than cocktails in order to avoid any complaint).

 Work with bar staff to ensure all jobs are done properly.

  • ·         Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.
  • ·         Plan and present bar menu and specials.
  • ·         Prepare drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with The Deck standard drink recipes.
  • ·         Assess guests’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
  • ·         Ability to sell or influence others for up selling and suggestive selling.
  • ·         Make sure enough beverages for service (fridge filled with water/beer/wines/champagne, etc.). If there isn’t enough stock or the stock is low, inform your line Manager immediately.
  • ·         Do bar inventory shift inventory.
  • ·         Ensure bar bins are emptied before the evening shift takes over.
  • ·         Prepare bar schedule and rosters.
  • ·         Check function sheet for the day, if any, and prepare for events accordingly.
  • ·         Ensure your station is ready before 4pm: Enough stirrers and napkins placed at your station and also at the waiters’ station.
  • ·         Do bar closing shift inventory?
  • ·         Make sure everything is cleaned (bar counter/rubbish bin, etc.) before you leave the bar.
  • ·         Report anything suspicious to the BM/GM

  • ·    To actively participate in the achievement of departmental goals and objectives and carry out work assigned by the BSD. 

  • ·    To actively participate in weekly / monthly departmental meetings and any other meetings that you are required to attend. 
  • ·    To actively engage in your own personal development to benefit yourself and the business and improve your personal skills following probationary period reviews, annual appraisals, training and development courses. 
  • ·    To actively ensure the Staff Handbook is adhered to at all times.
