JOB OVERVIEW

  • Responsible for all aspects of restaurant operations to ensure quality service and standards while delivering a guest experience that is unique. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations concerning health, safety, or other requirements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


THE CASH

  • Assists the Restaurant Manager with achieving the annual restaurant operating budget and financial plans. Monitor budget and control costs and expenses with a focus on average check spending strategy, building initiatives, and inventory management.
  • Assists Restaurant Manager with identifying (additional) sales opportunities to enhance revenue. Executes promotions that deliver great experiences for guests at a good value.
  • Responsible for the secure handling of all credit and financial transactions.

THE TEAM
  • Assists Restaurant Manager in managing day-to-day staffing requirements, planning and assigning work, and establishing performance and development goals for team members.
  • Assists Restaurant Manager in providing mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance.
  • Assists Restaurant Manager in educating and training all team members in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and safety regulations.
  • Assists Restaurant Manager in ensuring staff is properly trained on quality and service standards has the necessary tools and equipment and is empowered to carry out job duties.

THE GUEST
  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in ensuring all restaurant equipment is in proper operational condition and is cleaned on a regular basis.
  • Assists the Restaurant Manager in ensuring all restaurant facilities and areas are cleaned, vacuumed, and properly stocked according to anticipated business volume. Notify owners and/or general manager immediately of any maintenance and repair needs
  • Assists the Restaurant Manager in establishing and achieving quality and guest satisfaction goals.
  • Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions, complaints, and/or requests to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.

THE BUSINESS
  • Assists Restaurant Manager and takes responsibility for the execution of restaurant marketing programmes; and promotions.
  • Supports Restaurant Manager with monitoring local competitors and industry trends.
  • Supports the Restaurant Manager in reviewing and approving menu design and concepts with the Chef and General Manager.
  • Assists Restaurant Manager with conducting proper food and beverage inventory procedures. Determine minimum and maximum stocks for all food, beverage, material, and equipment.
  • Assists Restaurant Manager with ensuring the security and proper storage of food and beverage products, inventory, and equipment, and replenishing supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Supervises all restaurant waiters, hostesses, and cashiers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by a local government agency. 
  • Degree or Diploma in Food & Beverage, or related field. 
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the Restaurant, the brand and the Company. 
  • Strong at reasoning, team motivation, and organizational skills and training abilities. 
  • Outstanding attention to detail and excellent communication skills. 
  • Minimum 2 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
