Duties & Responsibility 1. Is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping department and the performance of its team 2. To possess strong leadership and problem-solving capability and skills. 3. Is responsible for the interviewing / recruitment / hiring / terminating of staff in your department. 4. To ensure that new staff are properly inducted into the Housekeeping department. 5. To draw up the job descriptions for the respective positions in your department. 6. To be responsible for the selection / training / development of your staff with an eye towards maximum productivity and guest satisfaction. 7. To possess sound knowledge and understanding of department/company policies and procedures. To communicate and enforce these policies and procedures fairly / consistently with your staff. 8. To conduct periodic staff performance appraisal. 9. Is responsible for budgeting / forecasting and financial planning of the Housekeeping department. 10. To manage and ensure that the departmental expenses falls within the plan amount. For example – payroll / chemicals / guest supplies etc. 11. To be constantly alert for newer methods / techniques / equipment and materials that will improve the overall operation of the department. 12. To maintain a high level of guest satisfaction with regard to housekeeping-related services and areas. 13. Guides / coaches / motivates staff to provide a high level of service to our tenants. 14. To conduct regular inspections of rooms and common grounds to ensure adherence to cleanliness / maintenance / safety standards.. 15. To check and ensure that machinery and equipment are properly stored / regularly cleaned and maintained / accounted for. 16. To ensure that staff uniforms are in good condition. 17. Ensure that proper grooming standards are adhered to. 18. To ensure that all keys are under strict supervision. 19. To be familiar with the Fire Fighting Plan and evacuation procedures. 20. To ensure that all linen sent for laundering / dry-cleaning are accounted for. Replacement requests are to be submitted to Management. 21. Develop written guidelines and training manual / procedures for staff operations. 22. To possess technical knowledge and proficiency in housekeeping services which includes: Housekeeping techniques; Knowledge of cleaning products / chemicals and their hazards; Safety. 23. Ensure that procedures for all lost and found are adhered to. 24. Performs management functions of scheduling staff / monitoring and evaluating work performance / praises and disciplines staff as appropriate. 25. Attends meetings and communicates with staff on all shifts. 26. Builds teamwork and staff morale in your department. 27. Had direct responsibility and accountability for the management of the HSKP store and its entire content. 28. Manage, follow up and take responsibility for inventory and equipment list of the department.

** Qualifications • College or University. ** EXPERIENCE: • 3-5 years’ experience in the same level and industry. Resort experience will be an advantage. ** LANGUAGE SKILLS : Fluent in English ** PERSONALITY CONSIDERATIONS: • Strong leadership, and management skills, multitasking, decision making and time-management skills are essential. • Inventory management. • Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic and high pressure environment.
