Mô tả công việc

1. To assist the Cost Controller in preparing the work schedule of all storeroom staff, and Receiving. 2. To assist the Cost Controller to appraise staff directly under his supervision and make recommendations where considered necessary. 3. To assist the Cost Controller in the implementation and planning of inventory par stock levels. 4. To ensure that store security measures are observed i.e. non-admittance to unauthorized personnel and enforcement of proper lock system for all stores. 5. To ensure that losses on merchandise are kept at a minimum level by ensuring good storage sanitation, hygienic and cleanliness and that store security is maintained. 5. To establish constant checks of physical counts of items against bin cards and to ensure that bin cards are updated and to check on unauthorized removal of goods. Be responsible for all inventories in the stores and assists in the bi-monthly and other scheduled stock taking initiated by the Cost Controller. 7. To ensure that arrangements are made through the Cost Controller for the procedures of emergency store issues during the absence of store personnel and during store closing hours. 8. To ensure that all merchandise entering the storerooms have proper documentation (receiving records, purchase orders, marketing lists, etc.) and initial all goods taken into storage. 9. To ensure that all merchandise leaving the storeroom are supported by properly authorized requisitions. 10. To ensure that no merchandise in the storerooms are below the levels of established quantity par or minimum required stock. In order to ascertain that quantity to ascertain that quantity pars are being observed, it is necessary for the Storeroom Supervisor to keep up-to-date booking journal for all inventories. When the stock of an item falls below the minimum, a request for replenishment should be made. 11. In recording addition and deduction from stocks, the Store/Receiving Supervisor should keep one copy of the store requisition for his file and forward the remaining copies to either the Cost Controller or Inventory Clerk for extension of amount and recording in their Account. 12. To ensure that established store issuing hours are implemented 13. Other areas of responsibility of the Store/Receiving Supervisor are : - Purchasing a. The Store/Receiving Supervisor must be familiar with the standard Policies and Procedures of purchasing for the Hotel. b. He is also required to assist in the checking of purchase specifications for all storage items ordered by the Hotel. c. Must also periodically review with the Cost Controller that competitive market prices for food and beverage purchases are obtained. d. To liaise with the Purchasing Department on any outstanding orders for the Hotel and which have not been delivered by suppliers. - Receiving a. The Store Supervisor must also be familiar with the Policies and Procedures of the Hotel in receiving. b. To check items sent to store for storage and to ensure proper documentation, quantity and quality, before certifying them as correct and acknowledgment of receipt. - Storerooms a. The Store Supervisor should be familiar with all storeroom procedures. b. To work closely with his assistants in respect of the ordering and maintaining of par stocks in these stores. To check and countersign all storeroom Purchase Requests prepared by the assistants after verifying the needs of the operation. c. To test check the physical stock of store items to ensure that physical stock balances at the time of checking correspond with the booking journal. All discrepancies should be investigated and reconciled. 14. To implement the policy on removal of stored items from stores i.e. goods returned to supplier. Outgoing Records must be prepared by the Store Supervisor and forwarded to the Cost Controller for approval. 15. To bring to the attention of the Cost Controller all slow moving store items so that immediate measure can be taken to avoid spoilage and wastage. 16. To be familiar with the storage temperature of freezer and to report to the Cost Controller or Executive Chef if the temperatures are incorrect. 17. To know the accident precaution rules for the storage areas. 18. To have a complete understanding of the Hotel policy relating to fire, safety and health. 19. To attend to any other job requirements as requested by Cost Controller for the efficient functioning of the Department and to respond to changes departmental functions as dictated by the industry, company or Hotel. 20. To have a complete understanding of the Hotel Employee Handbook and adhere to the regulations contained therein. 21. Be responsible in keeping our property safe and secure, to participate in any hotel activity related to Fire Life safety. 22. Perform any other duties which may be assigned by the management from time to time.

• Communication skills are utilised a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company. • Reading and writing abilities are utilised often when completing paperwork and management reports, interpreting results, giving and receiving instructions, and training • Mathematical skills, including basic maths, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilised frequently. • Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organisational and training abilities are used often. • Ability to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions, etc. • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Yêu cầu hồ sơ

Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in marketing or related field, and two to four years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience over a sales team, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Must speak local language. Other languages preferred.
