The Level F&B waiter

1. Ensures personal grooming according to hotel standards and reports to work on time.

2. Demonstrates a positive posture and manner at all times.

3. Greets and escorts guests according to the standard of the outlet.

4. Provides high standard of quality and speedy service.

5. Serves food and beverage orders according to the established service sequences and procedures.

6. Applies up-selling techniques whenever possible.

7. Picks up and deliver food orders, prepares and delivers beverages orders.

8. Always thanks and farewell guests conveying anticipation for their next visit.

9. Always takes responsibility for ensuring a positive guest experience.

10. Be knowledgeable and skillful on the hotel POS system.

11. Be responsible for proper set up of the tables before, during and after service, checking for clean linen, refill condiments, polished glass and silverware.

12. Performs closing side work and cleaning duties.

13. Assists captain to ensure total guest satisfaction.

14. Ensures full mise en place is prepared prior to start of operations and replenished afterwards.

15. Anticipates in advance, all materials and supplies and assure their availability.

16. Works as a team member with other staff to exceed guest expectations.

17. Works with initiative to seek and offer assistance as required from team members or supervisors.

18. Maintains positive relations with other staff and departments.

19. Participates in training and other activities to facilitate high team performance.

20. Responsible for set up, service and breakdown of his/her station by following the instruction of the Captain.

21. Performs other duties assigned by the Superiors.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING: College/Technical School

LANGUAGES: Vietnamese - Excellent level, written & spoken

English - Good communication

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE Food & Beverage, Barista knowledge, Mixology

Wine and Spirits knowledge

WORK EXPERIENCE IN OTHER COMPANIES (IN CASE OF EXTERNAL SELECTION): At least 2 years in international hotels in the same position.

WORK EXPERIENCE IN MELIA HOTELS INTERNATIONAL (IN CASE OF INTERNAL PROMOTION): 1 year in the same position in hotels of similar category and services.
