Graphic Designer

I. JOB OVERVIEW

- Designing all materials of the Hotel ranging from print, web design, presentation, collaterals, sales kits.

- Creating compelling creative, artwork and layouts across every medium include, but not limited to, print and interactive/digital.

II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.

- Plans concept by studying information and materials.

- Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.

- Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.

- Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment; purchasing from vendors.

- Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.

- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirement; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment.

- Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies; art services, printers, etc.

- Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.

- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

* Work characteristics:

- Must be able to work independently with little supervision, as well as have the ability to consider, evaluate and make sound business decisions regarding question as problem solving.

- Must be familiar with all hotels procedures, regulations.

* Qualifications:

- A certificate or Diploma in Graphic Design or its related discipline 

- Proficient in Adobe CS6 Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design and Microsoft Office. Those who are familiar with Mac platform will be an advantage.

* Required Skills: 

- Must be able to work in time deadlines with minimum supervision 

- Has a good organizational and communicative skill

- Is creative and up-to-date with latest in graphic design methods and applications

- Knowledge in multimedia presentation and website design is an advantage 

- Good contacts with local printing, paper and color separation suppliers will be added advantage 

* Experience : Minimum 3 years in related work.
