System Engineer

Responsible for effective service management while delivering and supporting IT services that are appropriate to the business requirements of the hotel and at the same time ensuring the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) meet the corporate standards.

Administers the overall information technology infrastructure of the company and is responsible to resolve hardware and software problems and to follow up with the IT Teams and the respective product vendors in case of escalating any unsolved issue.

Follow up with the property IT Team and product vendor/supplier solving problems in a timely manner.

Work with the users and support team enforcing Service Level Management (SLM) process to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and underpinning Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) or contracts are met, and for ensuring that any adverse impact on service quality are kept to a minimum.

Perform the day to day operations, management and administration to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information assets and technology infrastructure of the organization.

Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans

Performing analysis of network security needs and contributes to design, integration, and installation of hardware and software.

Analyzing, troubleshooting and correcting network problems remotely and on-site.

Maintaining and administering perimeter security systems such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems

Architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate security-focused tools and services including project leadership roles

Develop and interpret security policies and procedures

Mentor junior members of the team

Participate in security compliance efforts

Develop and deliver training materials and perform general security awareness and specific security technology training

Acquisition and vendor risk assessment due diligence

Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies

Participate in tier 2 and tier 3 security operations support

Participate in incident handling

Participate in projects that develop new intellectual property

MCSA, MCSE, CEH certification in Computer Science or equivalent desired

Emerging company-wide reputation in the field of information security

Consistent implementation of security solutions at the business unit level

At least 3 years of experience in infrastructure or application-level vulnerability testing and auditing

At least 3 years of experience in system infrastructure, environment integrate system and/or application security experience:

o Windows server/cluster server 2008/2012/2016/2019 operating Systems

o Microsoft Office and mail 365

o Microsoft SQL 2008/2012/2014/2016/2017 administration

o Linux server administration is an advantage

o Security and Antivirus : Symantec endpoint protection

o Backup and Disaster Recovery: Symantec, Veeam

o Virtualization: VMware, Hyper-V

o Storage: NAS and SAN (HP, Netapp, EMC, etc.)

Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in security engineering, system security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security

Experience with service-oriented architecture

Experience with the application of threat modeling or other risk identification techniques

Detailed knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, including penetration testing and the development of exploits

Scripting skills (e.g., shell scripting)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent leadership skills and teamwork skills

Results oriented, high energy, self-motivated
