Junior General Accountant

• Responsible for the reconciliation of several general ledger accounts to be determined by Head of Financial Reporting.
• Be the primary person responsible for the keying of manual and recurring journal entries
• Responsible for maintaining monthly balance sheet reconciliation documentation (preparing, scanning and indexing through Leadership Team).
• Responsible for maintaining journal entry (including retail stock ledger entries) documentation (preparing, scanning and indexing through Leadership Team).
• Responsible for preparation and maintenance of deferred charges documentation.

What can you expect to be doing…

• Prepare monthly account reconciliations for various general ledger accounts and provide analysis as to the change in the account balances.
• Keying of journal entries (manual and recurring) as well as upload processing.
• Prepare posted journal entries and retail stock ledger entries for scanning and indexing into Leadership Team.
• Prepare all balance sheet reconciliations for scanning and indexing into Leadership Team.
• Provide support for the Head of Financial Reporting, Assistant Controller-Reporting, Internal Controls Leader, Financial Reporting Analyst and the Principal Accounting Coordinator as requested.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other Finance related field.
• 1-2 years of related experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong spreadsheet experience.
• General knowledge of accounting rules, especially accrual accounting.
• General ledger or account reconciliation experience.
• Strong attention to detail, unshakable integrity, ruthless persistence, ability to learn quickly and be fluent in English.
• Ability to handle confidential information discretely
