TRAVEL DESK- HANOI

• Ensure that all customers are acknowledged, feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.

• Listen to the customer’s requirements and suggest the best options for their needs/travel plans.

• Have an extensive knowledge on all VBH trips to be able to answer all questions and queries asked by the customer.

• The Travel desk crew must also be able to advise on and book flight and train tickets as well as various trips with external suppliers that VBH don’t currently offer.

• Good knowledge of the local area is also necessary to direct guests locally as well as to conduct the walking trip when needed.

• Knowledge and the ability to carry out the extra services that the Travel Desk offers, such as Visa extensions, currency exchange and merchandise sales.

• Organise and manage your own till.

• Keep travel desk area clean and tidy.

• Maintain current travel literature and operational manuals detailing pricing from various external suppliers.

• Lead safe and fun trips, facilitating friendly; fun social interaction between members of your group.

• Keep guests informed with accurate and up to date information about trip itinerary.

• Be approachable and friendly to ensure that all guest queries and concerns are answered.

• Be knowledgeable about trip options and ready to facilitate guest requests.

• Ensure that all guests have the opportunity to get involved and interact socially without feeling forced or peer pressure.

• Respond in a professional and efficient manner to any problems that may arise during the trip.

• Manage your alcohol consumption, so that you are able to represent VBH to the best of your ability at all times.
