- Directly responsible for the banquet & meeting room area, ensuring a smooth running, profitable operation within the framework of the hotel.
- To liaise with events and sales to ensure that the clients requirements are satisfactorily met and if possible exceeded.
- To liaise directly with events and clients, once they are on site in order to ensure their predetermined requirements are met and coordinate any additional requirements.
- To supervise the banquet employee team to ensure maximum productivity and customer satisfaction is achieved.
- To co-ordinate timely effective staff briefings to ensure correct information is being passed through to service staff and those superior service standards are being maintained.
- Achieve departmental budget goals by maintaining profits through increased sales revenue and the efficient cost expenditure.
- To be responsible for the banquet departments financial impact on the monthly department profit & loss statement.
- Accurately forecast business demands to our employees by providing them with the training and resources to take care of our guests.
- To ensure the efficient scheduling of management & employees.
- To develop and implement employee & supervisor training plans on a quarterly basis in conjunction with human resources department.
- To be responsible for the execution of all employee reviews and appraisals in a professional and timely manner.
- To be responsible for all aspects of employee management including hiring and discipline in conjunction with the director of food and beverage.
- To train subordinate managers and supervisors in effective “coaching and counseling” and the correct process of process of progressive discipline.
- To conduct an effective monthly employee meeting with minutes and P&A forwarded to the general manager, director of F&B and HRD.
- To be responsible for maintaining outlet safety and sanitation standards at all times.

- At least 2 year experience in banquet management evidenced tracked record of achievements
- Good knowledge on beverage, decoration, fabric, and creativity
- Strong in inter-personality, leadership, and creative skill
- Proficiency in English and computer literate
- Strong in driving results and people management and development
