• Report for duty on time in full uniform, keep smart and well-groomed at all times and maintain a friendly and cheerful attitude.
• Plan and administer duty roster for the section.
• Ensure day-today efficiency of the section by supervising and evaluating staff performance and reporting regularly on happenings within the section.

• Ensure efficient handling of reservations for the following:
Special room allotment
Applicable discount requests
Sister Hotels room reservations request
• Company monitor bookings and room situation to maximize opportunities for achieving occupancy, yield and rates.
• Supervise and participate in the day activities of reservations clerk engaged in receiving and confirm guest room reservations.
• Ensure that all hotel reservations via letter/telex tele-fax /email are responded to within 24 hrs of receipt and file accordingly.
• Coordinate with the Sales with other departments on the status of group reservations, special incentive groups and special arrival.
• Check and update the following:
Daily “No show” list
Group confirmation and wash down
Special rates/discounts/special account file
Room availability for all section/ reservations network
Arrival list and Special billing arrangements
Meal Plan codes
Any special arrangements for VIPs
Free-sale allotment status
Wait-List, if any
• Prepare the following:
Daily Pick up for current month
Weekly for current and following month
Following week’s group and VIPs
• Resolve complains from clients in regard to reservations and take immediate remedy action.
• Continuously seek from improve the work flow and operating systems within the Reservation Department.
• Maintain a file for the reservation request forms and duplicate of reservation slip, file the same according to dates of arrival.
• Double check all correspondences of bookings before sending out to Reception the next day.
• Monitor all incoming faxes and ensure prompt delivery to Concierge /Business Center for Guest/Administration.
• To carry any job functions as may be assigned by the Management.
• Complete knowledge of hotel policies and procedures regarding reservation and discounts.
• Complete knowledge of Hotel’s room categories, rates structures, applicable packages, facilities and services.
• Overall knowledge of Room Reservation operating equipment and procedures.
• Ability to select, supervise and train section’s staff and allocate work effectively.
• Ability to plan and administer section’s duty roster.
• Ability to resolve Guest complaints diplomatically and personnel problem in his/ her shift.
• Ability to co-ordinate with other departments,
• Must be familiar with all emergency procedures (fire, accident, bomb threat etc) and knowledge of first aid and fire fighting preferred.
• Able to perform shift duties
• Other task list is assigned by hotel management.
