General Accountant

• 1. The General Accountant is responsible for preparing the monthly, quarterly and yearly Financial Package. He /She is also responsible for assisting the Chief Accountant / Financial Controller in ensuring that the Finance Department operates smoothly and efficiently. In order to do this the General Accountant must maintain the General Ledger as well as have a good working relationship with other departments in the hotel.
• 2. Responsible for daily auditing of all records pertaining to revenue, collections and payments of the hotel. Prepare and complete daily reports and prepares relevant documents, journals, supplementary working papers for incorporation in the monthly accounts.

• 1. Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of all journal entries necessary for closing the books on a monthly basis. Close all books on time to prepare the Financial Statements.
• 2. To ensure that the amounts of the balance sheet accounts tally will its respective subsidiary ledger and the items on the subsidiary ledger are fully substantiated.
• 3. To ensure the Books and supplementary vouchers are in order and implement right to GL.
• 4. Check that amortization of prepayments, accruals, provisions are properly recorded.
• 5. Check that all revenues, cost, expenses and all other proper transactions are posted to the proper charge of account.
• 6. Supervise the work of Account receivables; and check recording of expenses to correct accounts by Account Payables.
• 7. To check the accuracy of report from the General Cashier and ensure that the daily collected amount be deposited in the bank.
• 8. Prepare weekly/ monthly Cash Flow Projections as required. Calculate to pay Taxes, Insurance… to ensure the best company’s interests.
• 9. Control the bank account and compare with GL in monthly
• 10. Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports and profit tax report required by Head of department, send to Owner and related parties (Tax government and Bank…)
• 11. Together Chief Accountant provides and explains figures to Auditors/ Tax Government/ Bank…
• 12. Update new financial circular of Government related to company.
• 13. Performs other jobs assigned by the supervisor / manager

• At least Bachelor degree in any field
• Worked as General accountant at 4-5 stars hotels for 3 years.
• Strong inter-personality, leadership, and creative skills
• Hard work, be honest, active in work as well as ready to work under high pressure.
