JOB SUMMARY

The Public Area Attendant is an integral member of the Housekeeping Department with an eye for details. The individual is responsible for providing the highest level of comfort in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the public guest area and the hotel’s back of house area.

THE ROLE

o Provides the highest quality standard of cleanliness comfort and maintenance of the public areas in accordance to the policies and procedures set by the hotel.

o Keep stock of supplies and operating equipment required for shift. Report to the Supervisor should inventory run low or maintenance required for the equipment.

o Report all work orders to the supervisor immediately to ensure defect-free facilities of the hotel.

o Cleans all bathroom fixtures and fittings and replaces bathroom supplies.

o Report and return all lost and found items to the Security Department and completes required forms.

o Handles guest requests and immediately refers problems and complaints to the Managers or Supervisors.

Work Experience

o Experiences in similar roles at luxury hotels/resorts

Technical Skills

o Excellent interpersonal skills with personable character, a team player and good at cultivating guest relations.

o Basic command of written and spoken English

o Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals and surfaces
