Mô tả công việc

• Be able to manage a budget, and able to achieve the budgeted departmental sales and sales goals.

• Co-ordinate and handle sales and event enquiries verbally, in writing, and personally with the customer, and follow-up with customer post-event. For example, thank-you letter and comment card form is sent out 24 hours after function, and follow-up call made to solicit further business.

• Meet prospective clients and regular clients for site inspections to show them the hotel and banqueting facilities as required.

• Fully discuss all details of a function with the client in order to ensure the smooth running of a function. Present ideas, expectations and information in a concise, well organized manner.

• Attend and supervise banqueting functions through the Banquet Supervisor/Manager to ensure that the function runs to the standards laid down by the company. Make presence known to customer during the event.

• Liaise between Sales, and Account manager and customer through the event sales process.

• To be responsible, along with the other banqueting managers, for recording all enquiries, turndowns and cancellations and evaluating them on an individual basis for future potential business.

• Be familiar and have knowledge on all departments within the hotel.

• Liaise regularly with the Banqueting staff with regards to forthcoming functions by leading pre-convention meetings, helping to solve operational challenges or suggesting alternatives to previous arrangements.

• Have knowledge on menu planning and food preparation, and ensure the Head Chef has all Banqueting Menus prior to a function and that any subsequent changes in content or number are reported to him as soon as known.

• Effectively manage events and groups and integrate teams to successfully carry them out.

• Be aware of competitor conference and banqueting facilities and make regular visits to their hotels.

• Be aware of competitor price structure and evaluate our own prices on a quarterly basis.

• Attend the monthly Banqueting, Sales and Event Management meeting.

• Assist the Director of Sales and other department heads with the compilation of the Banqueting budget and be fully conversant with it. Ensure that food and beverage costs are adhered to according to the budget.

• Understand group and catering cost forecasting, and be able to manage the hotel inventory.

• Ensure that the Weekly Function List and BEOs are prepared in accordance with the schedule of the week.

• Satisfy the objectives of any plans and actions agreed with the Director of Event Management.

• Be responsible for maintenance of all banqueting areas through weekly inspections and follow-up.

• Ensure a safe working environment and where necessary make repair orders, with follow-up.

Yêu cầu công việc

  • Perfectly bilingual English and Vietnamese in both written and spoken
  • Proven records of corporate/ wholesales strategy development, sales achievements and guest satisfaction
  • Good understanding of corporate/ wholesales key accounts and seasons
  • Able to source business proactively, build relationships with bookers and decision makers, including senior executives of companies
  • Able to lead junior sales or admin associates in order to produce the administrative work
  • Able to understand and prepare proposals and contracts for all market segments
  • Creative, well organized, willing to work under high pressure
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Power point and Opera system)
  • Good management skills
  • College or bachelor degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • A minimum five-year experience in the hospitality industry
  • Three year in a similar position in requested business segment within a luxury brand
