REPORTS TO : Director of Sales and Marketing
GENERAL MISSION
The Sales Manager’s mission is to primarily promote the hotel and where possible, hotels belonging to the company. This position is to assist the Director of Sales and Marketing to manager the Sales Team and to represent the Director of Sales and Marketing during her absence and is accountable for booking individual and / or group business on an establish base of the top producing key accounts and for managing / converting high potential key prospects.
JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Manager performs her duties whiten the framework defined by the hotel management and hotel norms and internal regulations as specified by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
RELATIONSHIPS
1. Report directly to Director of Sales and Marketing
2. Interacts with other sales personnel within the hotel
3. Maintains professional relationships with hotel clients
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist in drawing up the Marketing Plan annually with the Director of Sales and Marketing
2. Keeps a record of former and existing accounts
3. Organizes regular visit (minimum of 5 sales calls per day) in accordance to a predetermined plan
4. Prepares a tentative monthly schedule to record all sales and other related actives for the preceding month
5. Presents a summary of her visits to the Director of Sales and Marketing on a weekly basic prior and after week is completed
6. Ensures that all new clients have no negative credit references
7. Record all day sales
8. Records the statistics of her accounts
9. The Sales Manager is familiar with the operation and application of the hotel’s database, PMS or CRM
10. Keeps herself well informed about the operations especially in essential departments (F.O., F&B etc.)
11. Closely observe matters pertaining to competition (sites, prices, services offered, on a regular basis or more often if need be)
12. Promotes the hotel as often as possible through entertaining, conducting, site inspections, presentations and others of the hotel
13. Pays visit to former, potential and existing clients in view of entering contract with them
14. Solicits group, individual, banquet and other function business directly and jointly with others through the execution of the action plan
15. Provides after sales service and in particular to ensure all guests complaints are taken seriously and discussed with the respective departments if necessary
16. Receives in the hotel any important guests whom she has approached
17. Negotiates prices with the clients
18. Confirms verbal proposals in writing
19. Ensures that all complaints are reviewed, investigated and follow – up action is initiated
20. At all times to promote a positive image of the hotel in all forms of contact
21. To develop and foster close and positive rapport with the public, guests, clients and members of the trade
22. Assists Sales Executives in entertaining room inquiries via telephone and hotel visits and submits quotation letters in their absence
23. Assists DOSM in summarizing Sales Executives’ daily itineraries, activities and sales reports and help ensures that all leads are being followed up and database is being updated
24. Assists DOSM in preparing and compiling weekly and monthly reports
25. Solicits members for the Passport Program and promotes all Club activities. Actively participates in all functions pertaining to the program
26. Attends sales meetings and other department meetings as required
27. Prepares and submits all required reports:
i) Weekly Sales Report every Monday with corresponding taxi reciepts
ii) Monthly Production Report every 3rd of the following month
iii) Quaterly Sales Productivity Report every 5th day of the quarter
28. Prepares, submits and present her Area Maketing Plan and Monthly / Quaterly /
Yearly Action Plan as required by the DOSM
29. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned by the DOSM

Minimum of 3 years as Sales Manager position, preferably in the luxury setting
Good Computer skills
Good Language skills
