Main Purpose of the Job:

The Clerk – General Ledger responsible for preparing journal entries with supporting documentation. Prepare monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts and reconcile cash activity throughout the month.

Duties may include but not limited to:

• Performs daily, weekly, and monthly accounting process to properly record, classify and control financial transactions of the casino.

• Ensures compliances with policies and procedures, regulations and internal controls.

• Prepares financial reports and supplemental schedules, interacting with financial accounting systems.

• Investigate and resolve financial statement questions from business units.

• Prepare monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.

• Ensure all journal entries for month-end close are completed within company month-end deadline.

• Reconcile cash activity throughout month and prepare cash activity reports.

• Performs cash control and analysis of financial transactions.

• May assist Accounts Receivable functions.

• Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands.

• Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Working knowledge and experience with an General Ledger department is a plus.

• Must be able to work under pressure and meet assigned deadlines

• Detail-oriented

• Technical proficiency and knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

• Strong analytical skills and able to work independently

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Fluent in English both verbal and written
