JOB DESCRIPTION OF HEAD OF SALES

Job Category: Sales

Report to: Director of Sales & Marketing

Location: District 7, Ho Chi Minh City

Schedule: Full-time

JOB SUMMARY

To promote sales and increase awareness of the property to the international and domestic trade clients and corporate companies.

To drive and motivate the sales team to exceed sales revenue target, and continually strive to improve all results and targets from key market segments.

JOB SPECIFIC TASKS

 Oversees all sales organizations with overall responsibility for establishing and implementing strategies to meet or exceed the hotel's sales revenue targets.

 Identify and forecast the latest market trends, establish accurate sales plans, and identify potential business opportunities.

 Establish a financial and strategic yearly sales plan for the department, revise it according to market conditions, and supervise the execution of plans through events, promotions, etc.

 Monitor and review sales production and adjust sales activities, account coverage and sales priorities in order to achieve plan goals

 Establish account qualification criteria and use market research and telemarketing resources to identify priority accounts and assign sales to assure optimal coverage

 Maintain responsibility for selected key accounts

 Propose and oversee the set-up of a viable sales administration system covering portfolio and database management to meet sales team’s needs, as well as to audit the system and monitor its maintenance

 Optimize room utilization by accessing the demand and supply for rooms

 Establish team sales goals and allocate key accounts to each member

 Attend daily sales meetings, sales strategy meetings, pre-conference planning meetings, and other sales-related meetings such as training

 Communicate and collaborate with other internal departments to improve customer service quality

 Supports sales activities by actively participating in trade shows, community activities, and peer sales representatives

 Conduct weekly/monthly meeting with the sales team and related departments for job follow-up and information dissemination purposes

 Generate monthly sales reports

 To follow and do any other assignment given by the management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

At least 5 years of Sales experience in the hospitality industry with knowledge of the market

 At least 3 years of department manager experience - requires budgeting, revenue management (Revenue Management) and workforce management experience

 Hotel Management Diploma / Degree, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality/Tourism management or equivalent work related experience

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 Strong negotiation skills

 Ability to analyze, interpret and extract trends from data and strategize outcomes

 Good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must
