MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

MAIN DUTIES:

Administration

• To ensure that A/C, sanitary & plumbing system of the hotel are well maintained.

• To record daily consumption of electric & water, fulfil department’s technical checklists.

Technical Responsibilities

• To clean chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, fan coil units, A/C controls, exhaust and ventilation system and ensure the system is running smoothly.

• To check cold rooms, fridges, ice machines etc. periodically and keep them in tip-top condition.

• Hot and cold water supply system, fire and fresh water tank etc.

• Checking periodically and recording of fresh water tank levels ensuring that sufficient (maximum) water level is maintain at all times.

• Chemical treatment of swimming pool water and equipment.

• Piping leakage, pipe line, sprinkler, hose reel, wet risers, leakage due to structural defect.

• Report immediately any malfunction of equipment or unusual defects to his superior and take action accordingly.

• Masonry work such as wall and floor tiles, bathtub, toilet bowl and wash basin.

• Swimming pool equipment operation & pool water treatment.

• Attend to banquet function order request.

• Respond & attend to fire alarm or emergencies as the occasion arises.

• Maintain the area & equipment under his charge in tip-top condition in terms of performance & cleanliness.

Miscellaneous

• Perform other Engineering related duties/activities as required by the Engineering Supervisor.

• All ambassadors are required to comply with every reasonable request from their hierarchical supervisor(s) within an amount of time that it takes to comply under normal circumstances.

• All ambassadors may be assigned to other duties in the hotel as and when required by business levels.
