Job Summary

• The Talent & Culture Officer assists the Talent & Culture Manager in managing the human resources functions of the organization. The key responsibilities will cover the implementation of human resources policies & procedures, standard operating procedures, recruitment, manpower planning, functions & internal workflow and processes related to employee relations, administration of Associates’ facilities including lockers, industrial relations and government liaison.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities)

• Implements Talent & Culture policies and procedures (P&Ps), standard operating procedures (SOPs) and all HR related management and administration of the workforce in consultation with DOHR.

• Job Posting (via Recruitment Advertisement – LinkedIn / Social media platforms, Recruitment Agencies, etc.)

• Conducts interviews (jointly with sub-section heads and or departmental heads) as Talent & Culture Manager’s assignment.

• Conduct reference checks

• Administers offer of employment process (from preparation of contracts through to associate reporting for duty)

• Provide upward communications via 360 degrees feedback

• Supports human resource management role and administration functions from induction of new hire.

• Work with governmental departments to prepare legal documents to welcome expatriate associates on boarding and working

• Registration of the Casual Labour for every function according to the Banquet forecast / Departmental requirement as per the procedure set.

• Administers the registration of new hires in conformance with legal requirements.

• Administers the HRM System, Human Resource database.

• Ensure all back of the house associate areas and male / female lockers are clean and well maintained.

• Ensure the ordering of chemicals / utensils / tools from store for use in cleanliness of staff facilities (Material Control)

• Managing and executing the purchases for any items needed in the course of work and for Talent & Culture Department

• Ordering Talent & Culture Department’s stationary.

Other standard responsibilities

• Complies to the company policies.

• Works within all pre-set budgetary limits.

• Takes on other tasks in addition of the ones stated, in a reasonable framework.

• Develops and updates policies and manuals, as related to the division/department, for implementation in the field, while ensuring compliance to the same for consistency across the group.

• Is a “brand ambassador” at all times and ensures brand integrity and clarity are always maintained.

• Models the company’s culture, vision, mission and core values at all times.

• Ensure proper monitoring and administration of the following task by Talent & Culture personnel:

- Preparation of employment confirmation letter

- Opening of personal files for new associates and maintenance of personal files.

- Bio scan - Fingerprint registration.

- Induction packs and walks about induction for new staff including arrangement for uniform fitting.

- Preparation of letter to open bank account.

- Preparation of Associate ID cards and Medical Booklets.

- Tracking of confirmation i.e. reminders to HODs,

- Arrangement for complimentary stays at sister properties.

Required Skills 

• Fluent spoken English

• Excellent presentation skill.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Qualifications 

• Diploma Degree above (Hotel and tourism management and bachelor degree in Human Resources will be taken as the priority)

• Local Laws and Regulation Knowledge

• Operating knowledge, including recruitment, salary and welfare knowledge.

Experience 

• At least 3 years working experiences in the relevant property
