Mô tả công việc

GENERAL MISSION

• To manage the operation of bar by developing and implementing strategies and services which meet the need of owner, employees and hotel guests.• Possesses sound knowledge of wine, food and beverages and cocktails.

• To ensure the smooth running of bar service, setting performance standards for guest

RESPONSIBILITIES & MEANS

• The Assistant Bar Manager performs his/her function within the framework defined by the Bar Manager, the hotel’s Policies & Procedures and following the country’s laws and regulations.

• He / She will ensure the maximization of sales of hotel’s products and will see to it that bar lounge function are carried out punctually in order to fulfill both guests’ expectations and departmental objectives in term of profitability.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs various types of administrative works of the bar.

• Overviews and prepares all duty roster.

• Conducts or attends daily, weekly, monthly meetings as scheduled and other meetings as and when required.

• Attends to works on time and as scheduled.

• Keeps Bar Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.

• Ensures confidentiality and secure storage of all intellectual property and databases, both hard copy and electronic.

• Ensures hotel, customer and staff information or transactions are kept confidential.

• Adheres to hotel policies and procedures.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• To ensure that section’s operations budget is adhered to and that all costs are strictly controlled.

• To assist the Bar Manager with the preparation of the annual operating budget together with the Operations Manager.

• To manage the outlet as a separate profit center assuming responsibilities for all revenues and expenses

• To control and replace the bar stock.

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures quality of food and service complies with established standards.

• Coordinates between F&B Kitchens, Restaurant and Event to prevent problems

• Daily Cleanliness inspections of front and back of the house and maintenance check.

• Ensures all tables and chairs are set properly at all times.

• Supports effectively with guests, ensures theirs satisfaction with food and service.

• Ensures that the communication between bar, cashier and other supporting departments are effective.

• Makes sure all the equipment for serving wine or beverages is kept in good condition.

• Makes sure all the different types of glassware are enough during daily operation.

• Work closely with Stewarding Section to enforce proper control on breakages and replacement.

• Monitors bar operations to ensure its product is up to Hotel specification or standards to meet customer satisfaction and proactive for the improvement of Outlet performance in revenue and standards.

• Provides employees with current up-to-date information on drink specials and menu items.

• Increases sales by coaching employees on effective sales techniques.

• Supervises staff on how to properly serve the food and beverages according to the standard operations procedure.

• Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems

COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITES

• Organizes and conduct market surveys to keep abreast of the latest business trends, technology and competitors’ information to provide feedbacks to the Bar Manager and Operations Manager.

•To be in charge of special promotions and in-house F&B events.

•Creates guest satisfaction by applying the Pullman standards of experience through performance that demonstrates the values of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations.

HUMAN RESPONSIBILITIES

• To assist in the recruitment of employees together with the Bar Manager (with prior consultation with Operations Manager).

•To plan and implement effective skills training programs in conjunction with the Human Resources Department and the Bar Manager.

• Provides employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potential.

• To ensure that employees grooming and appearance always be of the highest standard

• To ensure that all employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Hotel’s Employees Rules & Regulation as well as the hotel’s policies relating to hygiene and safety.

• Ensure wherever possible that employees are provided with a work place free of discrimination, harassment and victimisation.
