Engineering Supervisor

• Check the logbook, receive hand - over job from the previous workshift.

• Join daily engineering staff briefing with Assistant and Chief Engineer and assist in distributing daily work assignments.

• To regularly inspect all guest rooms and to see that all are in good condition and efficient work order.

• To ensures the completion of a daily work morning, afternoon and night shift work assignments.

• To support and initiate programs for the improvement procedures and the reduction of energy and utility costs.

• To analyze and monitor energy costs and expenditures for guest areas.

• To suggest to ACE, CE to create new policies and procedures of maintenance program based on real situation.

• For the failures in municipal power supply, shift engineer supervisor should keep high alert in 24 hours. Once discovered that if the failure is municipal power or water cut, not malfunctions in the hotel facilities, contact related government office to learn the cause and the time needed for restoration, brief the lobby manager immediately especially at night shift, then report to ACE, CE, take measures at the same time. As for fire alarm and unexpected accidents, shift engineer supervisor should handle according to prepared scenario and procedures use mobile phone when reporting to Chief Engineer.

• Daily do working report and records of maintenance & operation for all technical system, machines, equipment, main major engineering matters, record the visits of personnel from other companies When contractor or supplier comes to the hotel for maintenance, follow up related tasks, especially the repair of lifts, pools maintenance, repair of kitchen utensils, key cards etc. Write results and problems into logbooks and records.

• Supervise and provide constructive feedback to all team members to ensure safe work practices, efficient operation, proper preventative maintenance and repair to equipment

• Assist in the preparation of consumption reports on power, water, steam, and gas…ect and other tasks follow Assistant, Chief Engineer’s assignation.

• Ensure that maintenance & repairs performed by contractors are executed in accordance with agreed health and safety policy, contracts, fees or charges

• Review work flow and provide Chief Engineer with possible improvements to increase efficiency

• Coordinate and inform Chief Engineer of any disruptions to service of any kind.

• University or college degree specializing in Engineering.

• Trade Certificate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.
