MAIN ROLES

• Human Resource Management

• Manage employee work hours in an efficient manner in compliance with applicable laws.

• Meet with employees on a regular/irregular basis and manage their work and any distress they may be experiencing.

• Take initiative through consistent self-development.

• Training

• Frequently inform employees of compliance with training regulations and any changes in the training policy.

• Execute service and work training for employees as needed.

• Run a safety and hygiene training program for employees.

• Management and Maintenance of Facilities and Environment

• Identify the progress of the maintenance and repair work planned by the department. Report this to the Manager.

• Plan the repair and replacement of laundry machinery. Execute the plan.

• Purchase and manage laundry consumables and detergents.

• Oversee the use of supplies in the department and maintain a clean and tidy environment.

• Main Tasks

• Carry out the duties of the Manager in his/her absence. Assist the Manager.

• Ensure that the Manager's instructions are carried out by employees.

• Verify the completion of distributed tasks.

• Manage the reception of customer laundry and revenue.

• Purchase and manage guest room linens and uniforms. Do inventory on a regular basis.

• Prepare various documentation and reports for the department. Take charge of general administrative duties.

• Receive customer complaints. Make reports and handle the complaints.

• Manage the work schedule, health and benefits for employees.

• Comply with Personal Information Protection regulations for customers and employees. Manage compliance among employees.

• Create a good work environment for employees. Provide essential support in handling any problems that may arise.

• Perform all tasks in compliance to the manual and the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

• Identify any distress or problems experienced by employees and resolve them.

• Constantly work on self-improvement.

• Possess a complete knowledge of washing, spotting, starching, dry-cleaning and pressing techniques

• Ensure that all items laundered and dry cleaned within the hotel’s laundry are finished to the highest standard achievable and returned to the guests or staff in immaculate condition

• Organize movement of dirty and clean laundry and of guest valet service

• Ensure all damaged linen and uniforms are sent to the uniform room for repairs or discarding

• Control and record chemical consumption and reorder as required

• Assist in maintaining records of stock and equipment

• Supervise all employees with the Laundry Department

• Ensure an accurate valet delivery

• Ensure daily production records for linen and uniforms are maintained

• Ensures that regular preventive maintenance is carried out and reduce downtime with proper coordination with the maintenance department

• Works with superior and Human Resources on manpower planning and management needs

• Works with superior and Director of Finance in the preparation and management of the Department’s budget.

• Be responsible in keeping our property safe and secure, to participate in any hotel activity related to Fire Life safety.

• Perform any other duties which may be assigned by the management from time to time.

SUPPORTIVE ROLES

• Maintain a close, cooperative relationship with other departments to guarantee effective communication.

• Supervise employees' compliance with sanitation, cleanliness, and fire prevention, health and safety standards.

• Supervise and maintain the availability, cleanliness and tidiness of items used in the department.

Yêu cầu công việc

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Education: High school diploma or its equivalent.

• Experience: Experience in hotel room services preferred

• Credentials: Certificates in hotel housekeeping preferred

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Must be a good communicator. Must be able to train and make reports.

• Must show understanding of hotel revenues and basic calculations

• Must show understanding of, and proficiency in, equipment and fixtures used in the operation of guest rooms.

• Must know and understand company regulations and applicable laws regarding hotel management.
