Assistant Bar Manager

Position Summary:

The Assistant Bar Manager supports the Bar Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the bar to ensure exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and profitability. This role is responsible for supervising staff, maintaining beverage quality standards, controlling costs, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with hotel policies and health & safety regulations.

1. Responsible for ensuring guest receive consistently exceptional dining experience from a highly trained, motivated and professional service staff.

2. Ensure high standard of appearance, hospitality and service in staff and cleanliness of all dining areas. Confirm music, lighting and atmosphere is appropriate.

3. Supervise and support dining room service staff adhering to service standards through proactive guest and staff communications and shift leadership.

4. Ensure consistent standards are held for all staff with name tags, clean and proper uniforms and adherence to proper grooming standards.

5. Maintain and continually advance food, beer, wine, spirit, restaurant trends and knowledge in self and others.

6. Prepare weekly order and conduct inventory of beer, wine and liquor.

7. Assist with the new hire on-boarding process to ensure training is standardized.

1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position within a hotel, resort, or upscale restaurant/bar.
2. Strong leadership skills with an affinity for capacity development.
3. Excellent conflict resolution abilities.
4. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
5. Good command of spoken and written English
